So, I've got all the variants installed and very nice they look too! Thanks John and team. I'm having some issues with the converted sceneries - just a couple of examples. Hill AFB seems to be lacking a few buildings and the Sun shelters, couple of airfields have random trees scattered where they shouldn't be. I'm probably doing something wrong, but I also appreciate that the conversions have some items stripped out too for compatibility reasons. I'm using P3D v4.2 and I've tried moving the sceneries around up and down the list, in the actual root Add-On Scenery folder and in the External P3D AddOn folder. Also disabling all other scenery addons(Including OrbX). I'm using LorbySI's addon organizer to manage my files and haven't had any problems before. How are you guys installing your scenery? Any tips would be appreciated.

If your using ORBX, have a look at the terrain.cfg entries [texture.264] to [texture.267].I had to change the "ExcludeAutogen=No" to "Yes". That should get rid of the trees. May need to do it again after running FTX Central, or updating their products.

Cheers!

There are actually 2 out there.
One is actually in the Norway 2004 pack update 7. I have no idea why it wasn't included in the two later updates.

If you would prefer then on Avsim look for norwayafcad.zip by Anthony Dyer who created afcads for update #9. I am sure that somebody can improve on something that was created over a decade ago but it will get you going.

This seems to fix Patuxent pretty well! Thanks very much!!! I still have trees at some other airfields, where the parking ramps meet the landclass, so I'll keep poking around!!

This is more info, rather than some substantive, for people that like that sort out thing.

The RAF/RN have now received 15 F-35Bs and 617 Sqn has officially formed at Beaufort. Don't know the full number of aircraft assigned to 617 but as they are due to RTB to the UK this summer with 9 a/c we can assume no more than that.

Just catching up on the installs after a couple of months away from my machine. Was an exclude included for FSX/P3D to cover KNBC(Beaufort) in the F-35B package? Purchasing a new desktop to run P3D, dreading the move over for all my custom MAIW packages!

I didn't make an exclude Chris because I didn't think it needed it. If you think it is required, let me know where the problem is and I can soon make one.

When I took a peek at it, the simulated LHD is in a forest. I still have the AFCAD with the outline template I used to make the new FS9 background poly. I can use it to put together a FSX tonight.

4 are heading over from America to RAF Marham this Monday coming I believe (5th June)

Route hasnt been revealed just yet but I imagine with Tanker support they'll route via the PRESTWICK, LEEMING then MARHAM TACAN's around mid afternoon

8 A-10Cs 127th Wing/107th Red Devils Michigan Air National Guard are heading over to Mildenhall or possibly Lakenheath tomorrow too (31st May) no idea on the time though

Two files attached for the FSX version of MCAS Beaufort. One is a fix for a problem that was causing F-35s to get stuck on the LHD. The second is a FSX exclude/flatten/background

Thanks, pre-F35 I had an exclude for the NBC package to fit in FSX, not sure where it went off to.

John, bravo on the model in P3D and the FDE team. My first group of models installed in v4.2 outside of Matrix and I had the chance to check out Henry's Lemoore, watching as a JYAI F-35C made a believable landing, not the typical AI "slam it down" fashion.
