Hi John,

I am new around here, nice work on the AW139. I am happy to do re-paints for civ aircraft if CHC, Bond etc. But, i am not sure if they will be hosted here. Could you PM please so i can ask some questions please?

I have done many re-paints in the past for flyable heli in the past - see below:

Thank you in advance

Andy I understand fully the number of AW139's around the world. That's why I provided 17 models to hopefully cover the variations for painters.

Craig, I responded to your painting question in my e-mail yesterday. Please PM me if you have further questions.

Just a quick heads on the Irish Air Corp AW139 flightplans for FS9.The aircraft CFG need to be

JYAI_AW139_Irish_Air_Corps_274 and not JYAI AW139 Irish_Air_Corps_274 ie they are missing the underscores. This applies to all the aircraft titles.

Regards Paul Day.

Hi John! Your works are absolutely fantastic, as usual, but unfortunately I've found that some FS9 models have their glass not perfectly transparent as you can see in the bottom pictures.
The wrong models are:
Italian_Air_Force_1/2/3
Italian_Coast_Guard
Italian_GDF_short_nose
Italian_Police
Japan_Police_2/3
All the other models are OK for me.

Maurizio, the glass uses a reflective texture. Do you have "reflections" turned on in your FS9 Aircraft settings?

The glass material is the same throughout the model range so there shouldn't be a variation, but the amount of reflection/transparency will differ according to the time of day and the angle the sun strikes the glass.

Just for information for the Guardia Costiera AW139's the callsign should be NEMO rather than KOALA which is the AB412 callsign.
For fixed wing the ATR-42 use MANTA and P180 use ORCA.

Wow, a very rare thing a foreign aircraft winning a contract. Although the KC-30 and EH-101 also won their contests until congress got involved so I guess we shall see.

Even if the contract survives, it still gives me at least 3 years for the new model(s).

This version is supposed to be built in Philadelphia so we'll see........

Why the USAF can't just use an off the shelf model like the current AW-139 or any variety of UH-60 series is beyond me.

You know because there's so many jihadists, Chi-coms, North Koreans and Russians running around the plains of Nebraska, the Dakotas and Wyoming trying to get at our ICBMs..... Gotta have the latest and greatest new things with electro-optical sensors, night vision goggles, laser beams and LED headlights....

Gonna miss the noise of those Hueys running low level up and down the Potomac every time I'm in D.C.

Yeah. The reading the story of the EH-101 purchase is eye-opening. It was very similar to the Nimrod AEW. In that case the RAF didn't want it and constantly moved the goalposts to increase costs and delivery times. With the VH-71 Congress used basically the same tactics. What I didn't realise until the other day was that 9 VH-71s had actually been delivered when they cancelled it.
