Hi Stewart,
sorry just a quick question. Which shelters are you using in your FS9 YPEA scenery? Somehow I seem to be missing them?!
Thanks for info...

Hi Fex,

Whoops, didn't notice that one - nor did any of the other downloaders (lol)

I have uploaded the missing files to the library and they're available now.

OK, you seeing blanks in ADE is different to you seeing nothing in the game.

So to be clear are you seeing shelters in the game but not in ADE, or are you not seeing shelters in the game nor in ADE?

I dont see shelters in the game, thats the reason why I checked the ADE and found out they were missing...

to be clear: I dont see any shelters in the game nor ADE

PS: but with the new shelters I can actually see Stewarts YGIG FSX scenery in FS9

OK. Thanks for that clarification.

I have taken a look. What I mean is that I ensured that all possible Pearce scenery files were cleared from my system and installed the YPEA files and then added the shelters.

In game I checked and there were no shelters. I loaded up ADE and found black squares, as expected, as I had not added the lib to the Library.
However, what i did notice was that the guids of the objects that ADE was expecting to find were different to those of the objects that made up the library.

What i think this means, but I need an actual modeller to confirm, is that the version of the lib supplied is not the same one that built the scenery.

*** EDIT ***
Further checking revealed I made a mistake in what I was doing so I have removed the erroneous info from this post.

Steve

The model lib provided matches the images at the top of the string.

The models are not referenced in the object file.

Sorry, John.
Not quite getting what you mean here. Is this a general answer to the modelling question or something more specific to this lib?

Steve

If you look at the models in the Stewart's model fix, using MCX, they are the same as those in Stewart's posted images.

Those models are not referenced in the scenery placement .bgl that Stewart supplied with his scenery. You can get each object's GUID number from MCX. (Model Converter X)

There must be another object library that has not been shared or the GUID numbers in the placement file are converted to FSX. Same characters but in a different sequence.

Ah right.
Yes, I thought I had said that. The objects in the library do not have the same GUID as the ones specified in the scenery file.

Thanks for all the input guys. Unfortunately following a Windows 10 crash, I have lost the original FS9 stuff and I no longer have FS9 on the system.

Is there anyone willing to take a look at this and see if they can fix it. I think that the shelters file I uploaded may well have been FSX compatible and this may be the source of the problems.

Perhaps the quickest solution would be to contact Miljan who created the shelters and see if he can upload/post them.

EDIT: I have posted a message to Miljan on Facebook alerting him to this thread.

Okay folks,

Thanks to John Tenn a new version of the shelter files has been uploaded to the library.

Hopefully this will solve this Rooster-up by that hopeless Pearson fella!
