Thanks Henk, I imported the list into MS Word so I could search it and found the TTTE signs for the RAF and German aircraft (nothing for the Italians) and also MACAW and MACHO for the TWCU (45(R) Sqn). Great resource, now saved in my documents folder.

John, the Italian TTTE callsigns are also in the list:

A.M.I. 5000-5011 TORNADO AMI TTTE/6/36/50ST
A.M.I. 7000-7088 TORNADO AMI TTTE/6/36/50ST

A.M.I should read as Alpha Mike India, the numbers were (loosely) tied to the MM serials:

MM55002 (coded I-41) = "Alpha Mike India Five Zero Zero Two"

Henk.

Thanks Henk, so do I simply code the Italian atc airline= entries as "A.M.I." ? I assume the dots will cause the characters to be pronounced phonetically and that no EVP file is necessary.

John there is an AMI vcp produced by our very own free-range Stew from back in 2013, so it must have been done for one of our packages.

Thanks Steve, I wasn't going to fish it out and it wouldn't be FSX/P3Dv4 compatible in any case. I just wanted to know how to type it so the aircraft stay out of the GA slider.

The good thing about phonetics is that they are by far the easiest vcpmod to create.

Just type in the name that you want for the file e'g. 'AMI' and for the sound just use the default 'Alpha' 'Mike' and 'India' phonetics.
It will probably take somebody 2 mins to create one that is compatible for >FS9.

OK Downloaded EVP XL and created an AMI vcp.

This should work in FSX. Best somebody check though.

***EDIT***

Stupidly forgot to copy to all voices (it was a lot easier in the original version) amended and re-added.

Thanks Steve. If I am going to include the call signs in the TTTE packages, although they won't be released for a while yet, I'll also need ALIEN, BANSHEE, CAMEL and TANGO for FS9 and FSX/P3Dv4. I was happy just to include them as entries in the aircraft.cfg files, but if anyone wants to pull them together that would be a bonus.

The 56 Tornado GR1's have been completed for Manfred's fantastic work in progress RAF Brüggen. Here's a sample of 15 of them at my test airfield, including the colourful ones:

Image

I'll be packing them up for general release ahead of the scenery as previously discussed, but I'll just give Manfred some to check them over first.

The 40 GR1's/GR1A's have also been completed for Ian's RAF Honington. These are some of the 13 Sqn GR1A's, also at my test airfield:

A selection of 45(R) Sqn TWCU GR1's in a variety of load-outs:

The 24 GR1's for that squadron includes two special paints:

I'm not intending to release these ahead of Ian's scenery which is coming along nicely. It is superbly realistic and I'm sure he will post some screen shots soon.

I still need to paint the TTTE aircraft, but since the Cottesmore scenery for those is not imminent, I'll work next on the Tornado F3.

John, it's a pitty that your day only has 36 hours, innit  8) ?
What an amount of quality and quantity. While I am planning where to place a simple object in my scenery, you have done a complete Squadron already....
Fantastic work!
Regards, Manfred.

John, there is a good Cottesmore scenery already available for FS9 here in the hangar by Brian Clarke.
On Avsim, raf_cottesmore.zip for FSX (I can't test it)

Thanks Giorgio. It was the P3Dv4 scenery that Ian is producing for the TTTE aircraft that I was referring to. The TTTE FS9 versions can of course be placed in Brian's scenery if users would like to do that. I still have to paint them yet of course. The F3 models for the 3 sim versions are all done and I'm painting those at the moment.

I’ve gone as far as I want to go with the Tornado F3 models. I’m going to release these as aircraft only packages for FS9 and FSX/P3Dv4. There are 4 models in each package: Armed, Unarmed, Clean and a Canopy Closed model to give variety to the parking.

I’ve concentrated on producing a standard squadron livery and a special paint for the historic F3 squadrons. In most cases they are from the same period - generally the early 1990’s to make them compatible with the retro GR1’s. I have not attempted to duplicate and number up the aircraft for each squadron – there are too many to do that. However I will be providing a paint kit with the release so that users can produce what they wish for the scenery and flight plans they have in mind. These are the 17 variations:

I'll package these and the RAF Germany GR1's next and get them uploaded. The UK GR1's will go with Ian's in progress scenery, including the TTTE at Cottesmore, which is the last Tornado paint task.
