German and Italian Fiat G-91 "Ginas"

Post by hobby »

I now run FSX - Will FS9 AI g-91s (Mike Pearson?) work as AI in FSX without any modification?

If not how can one convert the AI fs9 "Ginas" to work in FSX assuming that Mike Pearson gives his permission to do so?

Are there any FSX flightplans available for these GAF & Italian "Ginas"?

Except perhaps a prop or canopy glass issue which is easily solved with an alpha layer, FS9 native aircraft have always worked just fine in FSX.

The FSX/P3D conversion is done, currently waiting in the quality check/release queue.

I bought the simskunk works Fiat G-91 plus ACMI (I did not want the ACMI) and I found the whole SSW setup program completely overawed me with more than thirty folders from three installers. I gave up on that but would like to "fly" a native FSX "Gina." I've also tried the G-91Y by an Italian gentleman. I had mixed results with that model and often had trouble in loading the correct instrument panel.

Oh for a good FSX Fiat G-91!

Meanwhile I'll wait for the FSX AI conversion, hopefully with suitable airfields in Germany and Italy.

Has any progress been made in making the FSX version of these aircraft and flightplan(s) ready for general release? Last news was in early May this year.

None whatsoever. It's in a quality check queue with 36 other conversion packages (yes, the number is going up rather than down...). I know I'm disappointing Henk by typing this and he's free to showcase his work, but the reality is that with our limited staff there may be many months between finishing a model conversion and the package appearing in the download hangar...

I can attest to what Greg says. I don't help him at all in this situation. Not having P3D means that I am unable to reduce the queue and improve the situation.

Updating and Quality Checking is a mammoth task and much appreciated by us all. I can only offer my thanks for the consistent high quality of MAIW aircraft, scenery and flightplans.
