The solution for 4 blades models, making a generic variant of C-130E and C-130H, and C-130H-30. And perhaps KC-130H. No other spécific versions (90% of all of them are remplaced by J's models)

John, I'm sure you are aware of this website (http://mt-milcom.blogspot.com/p/us-coas ... dated.html)
But if not, it is a fairly accurate current listing of all active USCG aircraft and their homes.
One note on the 130Js, not all will remain at ECity. After the new pieces are "bolted on" they will be farmed out replacing the 130Hs.

EDIT: I believe there are no more 130s at CGAS Sacramento as of last year. They have been replaced by the C-37.

That was a useful cross check of HC-130J serial numbers at ECity against those that Brent retrieved from Scramble. I have 2001-2010 (excluding 2009), but I was missing 2011. I can add that in.

Looking good John. I'll second the generic E/H/H-30 and a CC-130HT (KC-130 w/ Mk32B pods).

Cheers,

John the only other ones that would need an addition model could be the RAF ones with the refueling probe

Thanks for that. After a quick bit of research to check the visual differences between the "E" and the "H", I think I can put a plan together to create the rest of the 4-bladed variants in an order that minimises the work. I think for sanity sake, I will need to split the packages in some way and I'll think that through after I've completed the AC-130U.

In my effort to reproduce the RAF of the 1980s/90s, I’d love to see the C1P/C3P variant. I’d also love to see the C1K tanker with Orange Crop pods etc, but with there having been only 6 such airframes, I realise that it wouldn’t represent a good return on the work involved!

It could be fun to have an "old" C-130E with the MAFFS and this FX ;-)

Gary, every single RAF C130 (with the exception of XV208 'Snoopy', the W2 weather ship) was fitted with a refuelling probe from 1982 onwards. That's all C1s, C3s, C4s, and C5s, and the various sub-types. The C4s and one remaining C5 don't always carry them, but I'm not up-to-date with how the RAF determines when they're carried and when not. For the C1s and C3s, it was a permanent fit once installed.

These are the AC-130U “Spookies” of 4th SOS at Hulburt Field:

I’m currently thinking along these lines for release of the project, with packages 1and 2 being uploaded together:

PACKAGE 1:

C-130J-30s:
374th AW Yokota (13 aircraft)
403rd AW Keesler (10 aircraft)

MC-130J Commando II (with and without refuelling hoses)
352nd SOW Mildenhall (6 aircraft)
353rd SOG Kadena (9 aircraft)

EC-130J Commando Solo III
193 SOW Harrisburg (7 aircraft)

HC-130J
US Coast Guard Elizabeth City (10 aircraft)

KC-130J/Harvest Hawk (with and without refuelling hoses)
VMGR-152 Iwakuni (13 Aircraft)

WC-130J Weatherbird
53rd WRS Keesler (10 aircraft)

AC-130J Ghostrider
1st SOG Hulburt Field (5 aircraft)

I may just take a further day to add the HC-130J Combat Kings of the 79th RQS at Davis Monthan. I think the USAF model will be needed because it has quite different features to the USCG version.

PACKAGE 2 (4 Bladed props)

MC-130H Combat Talons
15th SOS Hulburt Field (8 aircraft)
1st SOS Kadena (8 aircraft)

AC-130U Spookies
4th SOS Hulburt Field (10 aircraft)

PACKAGE 3 (an update to packages 1 and 2)

Current RAF C4’s and C5’s, with and without refuelling probes.
Generic C-130E
Generic C-130H
KC-130H
CC-130HT with Mk32B refuelling pods

I haven’t yet decided on retro RAF models, but I’ll decline the suggestion for the water bombing example. I’m not even sure it’s possible, certainly not for FS9 because the effect can’t be attached to the xml trigger.

If that sounds OK, I’ll start the process of pulling packages 1 and 2 together. That will take a bit of time because there are still some scenery elements to complete and flight plans to update. Manuals then have to be written and everything put into the right zips.

Any thought to adding the LC-130H or C-130H with the ECM pods like the ANG and AFRES aircraft are equipped before the "factory" closes?

I've added them to the "generic" list, together with the EC-130H Compass call. I'll decide what to include when I get to that stage.

John...
model looks amazing....really captured the herk lines....the only thing I see is the prop textures...any way to lighten up the tips when spinning...the round black circle seems a bit intense......hope the criticism isn't taken the wrong way...

all the best

No problem at all and consider it done. I just need to adjust the alpha channel to make the tip rings less intense and then copy the new texture into each of the relevant aircraft folders.
