Well you could try installing it and looking at it.

The Gimhae scenery works in P3Dv4. The manual would have told you that.

A heads-up for FS9 users.

The Kadena aircraft.cfg is missing the 1 in the [fltsim.1].

Just a quick headsup about the FS9 flightplans for the Korean C-130 J30's.In the flightplans secton the first two aircraft serial numbers are reversed so need to be swapped and the plans need to be recompiled. I hope I have explained that as clear as possible. Loving the new Hercules packages.

Thanks Jim, Steve has kindly corrected that in the upload, so everyone should be fine from here on.

Paul, thanks for that one. It's a very minor thing that only affects the identities of the two aircraft, but I'll sweep it up later with anything else that might emerge.

I installed all the 3 new C-130 packages today, and when I look at the MC-130s using AIAE, I get the following message:

Error - model.cfg defines non-existing model: «F:\1FSX\AI Aircraft\JYAI C-130H-J\model.MC-130J_Drogue\jyai_mc-130j_drougue.mdl»

What can I do to correct that, or should I not worry?

Thanks -

Looks like a spelling mistake in the Model.MC-130J_Drogue - Model.cfg which should read

"normal=JYAI_MC-130J_Drogue"

vice "normal=JYAI_MC-130J_Drougue"

The entry in the model.cfg should be identical to the .mdl text.

Ah, found it and fixed it. I didn't think to look in the model.cfg!

Thanks, Jim -

Thanks for spotting that one. Note that the Drogue spelling affects both FS9 and FSX model.cfg entries for the MC-130J Drogue models at Kadena. That makes two items on my sweep up list to correct.

Just a quick update on what I'm doing at the moment. With Mins's Korean paints packaged and uploaded, I've been working on the flight plans for the Mildenhall MC-130J's. They still need some more work and I also need to reduce the frequency of the Osprey flights or things will just get too hectic there. As a break from that and before I forget how Gmax works LOL, I'm creating the generic C-130H, KC-130H and C-130R models and the paint kit to go with them. I haven't forgotten the RAF and Canadian models, but I'll start them once Mildenhall is done.

This may be a little off topic, but I wasn't sure if I should make a separate thread about this or not.

In the screenshots for the Gimhae scenery (RKPK) the Wedgetail's are parking in the military area, but for mine they are parking at the civilian cargo area. What parking code did you use for the Wedgetails? I think that is why they are not parking at the correct area in my sim. Mine has AEW.

I know I can just open the AFCAD and look, but for some reason I am getting a error when I try to open the AFCAD.

Ok ignore my last post. I see what I did wrong. I had both the new AFCAD and the original one installed. I thought I deleted the original AFCAD but I guess I didn't. Everything is good now.

Is the prop feathered on a normal RR Allison 2100 shutdown? It certainly wasn’t on the T56.

I'm pleased to say that after being away on holiday I was able to pick up the Mildenhall MC-130J's again on my return and finish off the packages, which were uploaded this morning. As always, just give Greg time to make them available.

They are for FS9 and FSX/P3Dv4 for use with Tony Dalton's scenery of Mildenhall. The JYAI Ospreys for the same Special Operations Wing are also included in the packages, unchanged, to save a separate download for anyone who doesn't already have them. I've also taken the opportunity to modify the flight plans for the MC-130J's and the Ospreys a tad. Rather than having the former travel all over Europe, with only a few being visible at Mildenhall, I've revamped those and with Steve's help I've also remove the Saturday and Sunday flights. The flight plans also include a tanker scenario which is described in the user manual.

Next job will be the RAF examples.......

John
