Wow I love the Skycrane. Will it come with the various pods that the US Army used? Is there a release date?

I thought I was quite fast Mins, but how are you managing to produce these models in days - Lynx Family 11th Jan, Hueys 19 Jan and now Skycranes 31 Jan? Are they reduced polygon AI, flyable models or repaints?

What is it you are actually working with and will you be uploading what you are showcasing?

Intrigued to know a bit more.

Hello, John.

They are all new AI models (FS9).

I don't make it in packages. I only make airplane models...1 LOD.

It will also manufacture multi-LOD in the future. (by your teaching...)

So I can make it quickly.

This is very big of your help.

Thank you.

Mins, if you want to send me your Skycrane source file, I'll make the second LOD for you and show you how it's set up.

Hello, John.

As I said before, I use FSDS. Is the FSDS source file okay?

And I can make LOD.You told me how.

I'll give you a model after it's completely made.

Thank you.

It is easy to build a vtol system.

John gave me many directions to produce.

Thank you.

No problem Mins, better that you try to set up the LODs yourself in the first instance and learn from that. The process steps in Gmax are easy, but takes me about 5 hours manipulating the parts and the mesh to get the LODs made. I'm sure FSDS developers here will be pleased to help you if you get stuck with the methodology if that's different to Gmax.

Love to see the model then, when it's all done.

Mins, this looks great

In fact all the models that you show us in your screen shots.

If you want, I would be happy to work with you to convert them to FSX and P3D format

Just drop me a PM and we can work out the details

Hi Mins...

http://farfyscenery.katuu.com/Tutorials ... 5.1%20.htm

Gives a quick guide on LODs in FSDS.

The difference for what your doing...

You would copy all the parts from the latest LOD, to your new LOD.
Then reduce the poly count on the new LOD.
The new LOD becomes your latest LOD.

Repeat as necessary.

Another one that should help..
Although for GMax the principles of how to reduce the polys is the same.
