The P3D Indonesia Block 15 OCU 'package' is being tested.
Will include models and paints for the Indonesian AF.

You will need to provide flightplans for 12 aircraft.

One issue is the afterburner effect.
The one we have been using for the Falcons turns into a ball of fire at distance.
Rather than build one into the model I am going to leave it as a light in the aircraft config file.
That way when a better one comes along its an easier fix (one line change rather than recompile).

Meanwhile in progress USN Block 15 OCU Falcons ...

Not sure yet.
FSX would be easier than FS9.
FS9 has double the LODs so it is a lot more work, and haven't looked at a FSX conversion as I haven't a guide at the moment.
I was very kindly provided a guide specifically written for the Falcon to convert it to P3D.

It's not the same base than WSMG F-16C block 52 available for FS9/FSX here on MAIW ?

It's not possible to compile them directly to FS9 ?

Thanks.

It is possible and I will be doing it, as long as Kev still wants me to.
After my puter troubles Kev took up looking at what was needed to make the models fit for P3D with Gavin and I did not want to break his concentration on that. In the mean time I have been aiding JY with his Navy birds.

It seems that one project has finished and the other is close so we should be back on track again shortly, if Kev wishes it.

Thank you so much for the Indonesia Flacons! There are flightplans for them in the old MAIW Indonesian Hawks package.

Almost, but enough differences to make it a PITA.
Block 15 has the lights on the main gear wheels, block 20 onwards have them on the front gear door.
Block 15 has a small front fin, block 25 onwards have the larger fwd fin.

Plus a few other bits and bobs.

Hello,

Yes of course (I know the differences between Block's, it's my favorite acft). But I talk about base source files (Sorry, my English is not my native language and not perfect).

I would say if the source files are in the same language (GMAX, FSDS, ....) it could be possible to compile in all formats ? (FS9, FSX, P3D...)

Unfortunately it's not the case of pressing a button in the design program to output the model in multiple formats. Gmax and FSDS, uses significantly different processes to build FS9 and FSX models. It's a lot of extra work to produce both formats and it's especially tricky to go backwards from FSX to FS9 source code because all the unique FSX features, like the animation tags in all the LODs, GUID and FriendlyName have to be removed. The animation pivot point directions might need changing and some animations will need to be removed. Unless that's all done thoroughly, the FS9 model won't compile.

FSX would be the easiest.
I already have 3 base + furthest LOD as an FS9 file that I can use for FSX conversion.
This is just a basic model - no pylons, weapons, pilots, flags covers etc. (they are added in MCX)

For a proper FS9 model I would have to make some more LODs, 4 isn't enough for FS9.

FSX/ P3D I can use 400 - 100 - 50 - 10 LODs
FS9 I would have to add at least 200. Probably one more further down.

If I could use MCX to create the FS9 models the way I do for P3D it would speed things up. But I don't believe this is possible.

Yes Dale it is continuing.
I did have the USN Block 15 OCU aggressors ready...
But (yup theres a but) just found out most of the camos had changed and can't find an top down view of the new layout. Got the port and stbd sides.
I can release what I have but the camo schemes would be out of date.

EG The two B models with the blue 'splintered' camo, now just have a new standard layout. Doesn't look half as good.

Ok have left the camos as is, and given them to the guys to test.

Maybe an ADF next? Its a logical progression from the OCU versions.

FYI: Portugal still has 19 ex USAF F-16A/B ADF's which were upgraded to MLU standard but kept the ADF tail fairing so externally they are the same as the ADF model above.

Will need another model.
The IFF upper nose bird slicers are different.

It's an
AM with a searchlight and ADF tail fairing.
BM with a searchlight (they never got a bulged tail fairing)

Both lost the lower (under intake) earlier bird slicers.
