Well done Edwin, I know from our correspondence that you have been learning and working hard on these.

My only suggestion for improvement might be to lower the opacity of the panel lines a tad if you think they are a bit heavy.

looking good bud .As Ray said the panel lines need some work .But we all have to start some where. The main thing is to have fun .
Don't be put off if someone repaints alot of aircraft .Just look at photos .What looks right is right .
Start by making one good paint. After this change the colour abit .Makings are sometimes missing on some aircraft ..

Looking good just keep at it and things come together in the end but don't rush ..

Looking great and I approve you to start work on the Moody AFB, GA "shark" mouth A-10s (just kidding). Agree with the panel lines and maybe a cross between what you have and "mins" Osan AB very worked/dirty Hawgs.

:D Thanks guys,

i have the panel lines at 30% as stated in the paintkit. But i added another layer to simulate dirt coming from the panel fasteners, rivets, panel doors etc. But that was a bit too much maybe :D . I will tone them down a bit or remove them completly.
Still a lot more aircraft to do, but i will get there.

cheers,

Edwin

Try setting panel lines layer at 100 then make another panel lines layer .Go back to the first layer and set it at 4-6 .
Next blur the other panel lines layer and set this at 6-10 and see what you think .

Hi Mark,

thanks for the suggestion. Will give it try.
Just to be sure, i make a duplicate layer of the included panel line layer? And this one i need to blur right?

That's right .But make sure that you still the panel line layer . Some times I will change the blur layer to white or even both .At the moment with the US Navy coloures Im working on the white blur looks better than the black blur .Well give a go and see what you think ..

Hi,

its been a while but today i uploaded my Spangdahlem repaints for the JYAI A-10. please bear in mind that it is my first attempt so they are not perfect.
i also included some very, and i mean very, basic flightplans. Maybe there is someone with more experience in making flightplans, that is willing to do some more realistic flightplans for them?

Hope you enjoy them.

Well done Edwin for sticking with it and getting there. Just a quick question though - are the USAF roundels so low viz, you can't see them?

I have an older FS9 flightplan

Will there also be a FS9 version of the JYAI SP A-10?

  Well!! that's embarrassing. I never touched the roundels. Maybe i turned off a layer in photoshop and forgot to turn it on when i finished painting. I will have a look at it (hopefully soon)
Thanks for pointing it out John. :smt023
