All Saudi aircraft are of Tranche 2/3 standard and are fitted with the FLIR on the left side of the cockpit. As far as loadouts go, you could use the Italian models as they have the IRIS T, this would save John time.

Tyger Tyger, burning bright, In the forests of the night:

What immortal hand or eye, Could frame thy fearful symmetry?

In what distant deeps or skies. Burnt the fire of thine eyes?

This tiger is part of 68 Spanish paints, again gratefully received from Ray. A few of the paints are shown here:

I know this is a great tease, so maybe it's time to provide an update on where we are now.

The project spans over 500 aircraft, multiple sceneries and flight plans, in 3 sim versions. With so much help on board I can now see this all coming together, but it takes time. This is the current situation across the project:

It looks like Austria, Germany and Italy could be the first elements to be released, but not right at the moment. So it's
back to painting the Italians for now........

I should have paid more attention to the comma in Ray's post. Apology withdrawn (LOL).

Good job with the camo and markings Ray. I think you might have allocated the wrong model though. I don't think I can see an IR (PIRATE) sensor below the cockpit.

Ray, the IRIS-T is fine, but you need the IR sensor to go with it, as Dale said. That's on the single and two seat.

The base colour of the camo, I think, is the same as the RAF overall (BS381c-626) with FS35237 on top. I can't see where the light is falling in your screen shots because you have shadows switched off. The two seater might be OK and the single seat might be on the shadow side. Turn shadows on and see how the shade varies with the direction of the sun and time of day. Also try it without clouds dulling things down a bit.

I can try it in FSX if you would like a second opinion. I can also compare the shades used with the paints on Dale's Saudi Tornado's.

John

PS, Correction, Dale's Saudi Tornado doesn't have camo, it has a base grey of RGB 132 139 143 it would seem.

That looks pretty good Ray. The fuel tank colour that we know comes from the RAF weps sheet matches the airframe base colour. The FS35237 over the top provides enough contrast if you look at fin where the dynamic shine is absent. If you are happy with that, so am I.

no for my next question then.
some airframes still carry their RAF serials I.E. ZK388 etc on the rear fuselage.
now will the Saudi's paint over these ?
so the question is do user's want them painted on or off ?

The UK designation is purely for them being registered in the UK, once they arrive in kingdom the UK serial is removed, they're only stickers.
