Flightplans for the Swedish Gripens belonging to F-17 wing, these are in multi week format for use with P3D so will not work for FS9, they may work with fsx but I don't know. It is a little taster of how I plan to do John's lovely Typhoons, that said I will be more thorough with those than I have been with these Gripens. I'll upload the multi week flightplans onto the hangar probably but the ones included with the Typhoon pack itself will be the usual one week format

Dan, looked at this technique on the AIG forums for the idea of running demo teams in multi-week formats to follow their actual air show schedules. Also thinking a "Red Flag" plans as well, but that might take way too much time.

It's quite an effort for sure but well worth it I reckon. The Gripens above do a trip to Nellis for red flag

I've done some replacement flightplans for the USAF bomber fleet basically to cover deployments to RAF Fairford. There are supposed to be 6 X B-52, 7 X B-1 & 3 X B-2's on the ground there but I can only get a single B-52, 4 B1's & a single B-2 there. I've ran it through AIFP with no problems, ran them aircraft through Ai Aircraft Editor with no issues & I've checked the traffic slider as well & that is fully up. There's plenty of parking available at Fairford as well so I figure I must've done something wrong in the flightplans but I have no idea what, I've attached them here so anyone could take a look & see what the issue is, you'll also need to remove the relevant aircraft in the original traffic bgl's as well so you don't get repeated flights. Thanks in advance

That's strange, I don't any errors when I run AIFP. I've had a look at the errors that come up on Jim's post & it looks in order to me.

Check to see if you have Suppress Warnings selected. It is under the Options menu.

I had a look at the errors I had and tried to fix them...

The resulting FP is attached.

The day I found that produced max no of airframes was daytime 3 May 2017.

Hope this helps

AIFP 3.3.1.7 validated the flight plan fine with "Suppress warnings" unchecked. However, I also tried my much earlier V2.2.07 and that found a heap or warnings.

John
Mine was the same, I'm using AIFP 3.3.1.7 so maybe that's an issue in the programme

I tried with 3.3.2.2 and the latest 3.3.2.3 and no warnings.

I do get a warning when the target is set to FS9 that it was a multi-week set of plans. I had a look at the actual errors that Jim found but I did not find the first 6 warnings highlighted when i checked those legs.

So something screwy somewhere but I think the plans were fine.

What version are you using, Jim?

Jim's edit worked a treat, many thanks for that, they all where they should be. That said with these errors that aren't coming up I do wonder how many aircraft aren't turning up. I know full well this has not affected the Typhoons as I clocked all the paints in testing

Using 3.3.2.3, but similar happened with 3.2.22.3

Definitely something screwy...

Re-ran on a fresh download of the file and it is error free.
The first time I ran it, it definitely produced the error list.
When I was error fixing, I'd re-validate after each fix and it produced the new error list without the fixed FP.
I repeated that until it was clear of errors.

Definitely confused !!!

Jim

Any one know of a quick way of working out a date for a multi-week FP, to view a specific FP entry.

eg Week 5 day 4

In the "AIG Traffic Tools-1.0.1.5.zip" file there is a file called "repeat period week system.xlsx" which will give you what you need. Just select the "Repeat Calandar" tab. it currently extends to week starting 28/12/2020.

Just posted a request for Don to see if AIFP can be modified to show multi-week plans in time table.

I found something in a completely different set of plans that mirrored this and so i think I now know what is happening.
It seems that with the latest version of AIFP the raw text files are either not checking for warnings or not producing a warning list. However if you then compile those plans and then load the traffic file the warnings are produced.

Reported this to Don.

Just a little taster of what Mark "Tranquil" & myself have been cooking up. The Polish Su-22's have been uploaded to the hangar with 18 paints & multi week flightplans to go with them. If there's any scenery out there for Swidwin then can you please let me know. Massive thanks to Mark for the base paints, all I did was put the serials on them. The models are on the hangar & for FSX & P3D, as are these paints & flightplans
