So this is an update of some of my earlier work; the C-130s currently active with VX-20 at Pax River. According to Scramble, they have 3 KC-130Ts, 1 C-130T, and 1 KC-130J. These paints are based on limited imagery as there aren't any current pictures of any of the aircraft.

All his paints are in FSX/P3D format. You need to convert them to FS9 format yourself. I posted a tutorial here https://militaryaiworks.com/forums/33/1 ... es#p196594.

It is quite straight forward. Even if you read it and don't want to do it the manual way you can use Don Grovestine's Texture Manager to convert them using the information from the tutorial.

BlueAngels C-130 pilots and crew are currently in Cambridge, United Kingdom with their new C-130J!

Over the next few weeks, team members will conduct a series of maintenance tests, which include an aircraft systems operational check out and a functional check flight, prior to completing the transatlantic flight to the United States.

BAFans you will notice a couple changes to the paint scheme. The flight surfaces now have yellow tips, similar to our F/A-18s, 2 stripes run down the side of the aircraft and the iconic white top has been changed to a tear drop design.

This C-130J model will provide improved logistics support and eventually join the Blue Angels demonstration!

*Please note that our team is practicing social distancing and taking every precaution to maintain mission readiness. Stay safe!*

Much thanks

At last the serial number is known. Slightly out of sequence but it is confirmed in a few places as 170000.

I have a question.

Did somebody convert the Saudi C-130 for FS9?

If yes, where can i download them.

Second question ist where can i get fligjtplans for FS9?

I need to install everything again as i had some serious problems with my PC.

My AI is a mess and i have to make many fleets again.

Thanks for support!

Hello,

In a recent issue of an Aviation Revue I see a C-130H with 8 bladed engines. These C-130H are in service in a US ANG unit.

Is this model present in one of John's C-130 pack ?

Thanks a lot

I don't think they've been brought into general service yet.

153 AW from Wyoming ANG have them since january 2018. C-130H3 with NP2000 blades on T56 3.5 engine

10 LC-130H fro 109AW New York ANG will receive these 8 bladeed engines too.

A total of 36 Hercules from ANG must be modified like that.

In the USN 24 Hercules (C/KC-130T) will receive these blades too.

The plan is for the US forces to replace every H/T that they are keeping in service with the new engines and 8 bladed props. Some other countries are receiving them as well. I think that Thailand has got one, but I could be wrong about the nationality.

I know that it was received towards the end of John's C-130 project.

As Dale released these on Flightsim.com, and he has not released FS9 paints for years then your only option is to convert them yourself. I have pointed people to the tutorial before and said that you can use Don Grovestine's Texture Manager tool to convert them automatically if you prefer to do it that way.

Dale included a traffic file in his package. You just have to load them into AIFP and save them to FS9.

Both are easy enough to do.

Oh, it is happening - but slowly. Unfortunately the budget for upgrading the ANG is mired in political argument and protocol. It's been ten years since the NP2000/T56 3.5 combination (plus various avionic updates) was approved in principle. But getting the money to actually enact the updates hasn't been so easy. Same problem in many militaries around the world! So, it's coming, but not as soon as you might like.

I have downloaded the package of Dale Ashcroft for Royal Saudi Air Force.

I installed everything but have problems with the FP.

The FP contains 54 C130 wnd it goes of 5Week period.

I tried to convert with AIFP but it only saved as txt files.

When i try to compile with TTool it doesnt work.

I get error messages for the 5Week function and also about the times in the FP.

I really dont know what to do at this point.

Thanks for help.

P.S. i use FS9
