Thank you for those kind words.

Steve noticed a couple of problems with the updated traffic file for 9 Sqn at Lossimouth that adds the black Aggressor Typhoon ZJ914. There is a better plan (for FS9 and FSX/P3D) in the attached zip.

I would like to thanks John for all these models for all versions and particulary FS9 versions.

I hope I can change my configuration( or new PC) next year to use the new FS2020.
The exact same words I'd write.
Thanks a lot John! :smt023

Thanks for all the FS9 models, I'm sure it must have been a tough choice to move away from FS9.
Who would have thought that sixteen years after it's release there would be people that are still on FS9.

Again thanks for what you have done for the FS9 community and may you continue to bring enjoyment for users with your new models for FSX and beyond.

I think I see some retro C-130 USAF paints at some point in the future...

John Young wrote: 12 Oct 2020, 16:12 I have just sent the Typhoon update pack for inclusion in the Hangar. The pack contains the cumulative corrections or omissions to date (already posted in this thread) plus the new RAF Aggressor black paint scheme from me and the Saudi 2020 and 2019 anniversary schemes from Ray:

The total number of downloads for the 14 Typhoon packages totals 2993 as of an hour ago, split 1018 Fs9 and 1975 (FSX/P3D).

Assuming people are downloading all 7 packages for their sim version, that would put the number of users at about 145 (FS9) and 282 (FSX/P3D). 13 users (outside of the development team) have posted thanks since the release, of which FS9 users are just 3.

I think I've reached the point where FS9 has become unviable. FS9 demand is significantly below FSX/P3D and It's hugely complicating having to keep switching between formats when so few FS9 users show any form of appreciation. I'm about half way through a new project that will keep to the 3 sim versions. After that, my intention is to drop FS9 and concentrate on FSX (also usable in P3D). The FSX format has suddenly become important because of the reported compatibility with FS2020, given the AI SDK and conversion know-how.

Has the update been released yet? Apologies if I've missed it!!

Is there any chance for painting the three Luftwaffe Eurofighters of WTD-61, 98+03, 98+07 and 98+08 ?
And maby, just maybe a primer Eurofighter.

Please ignore what I said above. I presume it is just a straight swap for the original repaints. Sorry for being such a biff.

Thank you very much. Instead of primer I'll use an all grey paint. Much appriciated.

I'm not sure that I interpreted the error report correctly about the non-appearance of a few Typhoons in the Saudi package due to a mismatch in aircraft names between the aircraft.cfg files and the aircraft.txt files - my files are fine. I think the update text to correct it is wrong. Just to be sure, I have zipped up the files - traffic and aircraft.cfg for each of the 3 sim versions below.

Thanks to Pete for spotting this. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Can these different packages be combined into single seat and twin seat model folders? One folder with all the single seat aircraft and another folder with all the twin seat aircraft.

The key thing with any combining is the cfg files.
If you compare them and they are the same below the titles section then they can be combined. In this case single and two seaters are the same as you can see from see from the individual packages.
So in this case you would need to compare cfgs between packages.

Now as it happens combining everything into two folders EF2000 and EF2000(T) is exactly what I have done on my system. Nice and clean.

I am guessing that as only 1 sqn is going to be using the tranche 1 birds the engineers can't really play the freedom of movement card.

@John Young

I have finished installation of RSAF yesterday in FS9.
They work fine!

I just want to ask if it is normal that the textures are not sharp.

They are not blurry, but not sharp.
For example it is difficult to identify the reg number.

The textures were made by Ray Parker as DXT3.

Also i could not install the Ta'if AFCAD which is in the eagle package of RSAF at avsim.

I am not able to select the AFCAD in the scenery library.

I am using FS9 in Win10.

I want to install the german and spanish Typhoons soon.

Next i want to install the RSAF Tornados.

P.S.

Is the ICAO code for Royal Saudi Air Force =RSF ?

And is it realistic to use the callsign ASRAF for the Typhoons?

Thanks for help and to all who were involved in this project.
