Only for P3D and maybe eventually FSX.

We have bk25 and bk32 models already, the USAF Aggressors, not a whole lot of differences between those two. I'll have to look but I don't think there are too many differences to the bk30 models.

Probably based on what Kevin has done for P3D/FSX with the early models, we can incorporate those for FS9 eventually.

Wouldn't bet on it Mike.
Going from P3D to FSX is interesting enough, not even sure if P3D to FS9 is possible, or taking the converted P3D to FSX model back to FS9 - even using MCX.

Mike check the FSX/P3D team discussion.
Gavin thinks he has discovered the method to convert P3D to FSX.

I'm referring to the base FSDS files. If we could share those, that would be enough to incorporate the differences I would think. I would do the full LOD set for the FS9 models based on your changes to the FSDS model. But that is a long ways off if ever at this point so not a priority.

Yes converting them backwards from P3d to FSX to FS9 would be the easiest method but I'm not even considering that.

Things like the smaller ventral fins, smaller stabilators, etc. Just parts to swap to one of the current FS9 models.

Again not interested in those at the moment so no worries.

Paint Shop Pro versions emailed your way. If you need Photoshop instead just say so.

I sent you the main USAF paintkit for Block 40/42/50/52 versions. Also sent you the paintkit I used for Misawa. Both kits are set up for you to just edit the serial numbers, two letter code and tail fin flash.

Lots of layers in these paintkits, if there's something that doesn't make sense just ask.

Watch out for the naming of the texture files, it is specific to block versions, again just ask if you need help.

Oh and all the credit goes to Kevin on these paintkits, I did very little.

That might be possible...
Base FSDS files for the P3D ones don't have pilots, flags, covers etc because they are added (pre-compiled for P3D) later on.
I have two versions of them - widemouth and smallmouth (because of the intake cover).

Definately have FSDS versions of A/B smaller and C/D larger ventral fins both in standard and chute housing versions.
If I remember correctly we already have the smaller stabs, just never used them!

Also base lights on the main gear or nose gear door.

But - they all will only be 4 LODs (inc the paper plane) - 400 / 100/ 50 /10

You helped a lot with paintkits - especially on the remapping when we found the nose was a little short!

[edit] may well be possible...
https://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/threa ... s9.446653/

However would likely need all the ambient parts re flagged as tick18, and tweaking the XML code.
Anyone willing to try, give it a go, nothing to lose!

First model I've compiled in quite a while! Aviano 555th FS F-16CM Block 40 with Have Glass V paint:

Block 40 Viper so no IFF antenna on the front and a different HUD specialized for night flight.

Hi Mike: got the paint kit working, would need the data on serials and tail flash if it is available. Lewis

Sweet. Which squadron do you want to start with??

Don't get too comfy with that paintkit. I've spent the last couple of days cleaning it up to make it easier to use. I will email it to you.

Lewis with a few tweaks to the paint kit, I can make it Shaw AFB specific for you including with tail flashes, logos, etc.

All you would have to do is edit the serial numbers and compile each texture.

Does that sound like a good start??

We could do that with all the bases. I've pretty much got it to the point where it doesn't take a lot of work to personalize it for each base or unit.
