As far as I can see the model has only been converted from FS9 to P3Dv4. The FS9 model should work fine in the FSX environment and P3D upto version 3.

Pete is right, the FS9 model works in FSX apart from the nose wheel steering existing in the P3Dv4 model.
For my own private use I tried to convert the P3Dv4 as well as the FS9 model into a FSX model with ModelConverterX, but failed (e. g. the landing gear completely missing).

If you are happy to use a native FSX model where the cabin night lighting is disabled I should be able to re-compile the P3D model for FSX.

Re-creating the cabin lighting for FSX requires additional parts and every texture to be modified and since the FS9 model works well enough in FSX I don't believe the additional work is worth the effort.

Hi Gavin,

thank you very much, I appreciate the offer for a native FSX model. The disabling of the cabin night lighting in my opinion is not so important for a military aircraft. Most of all I am missing the nose wheel steering as I mentioned above. So if you have enough spare time....

TIA

Ok, here is a link to the models re-compiled for FSX.

They have nose wheel steering but no cabin lighting.

Please note that I just did a quick validation that the models loaded into FSX and seemed to work, beyond that no guarantees (no money will be refunded if not satisfied).

These are just the models, you still need the P3D package for the rest of the files.

Hi Gavin,

this was very quick, thank you very much. As far as I can see until now, the models work perfectly in my FSX system - great work!
I think the majority of FSX users will appreciate this too [as well as (just a friendly hint to think about) similar improvements for the A300 and A310 models of The Fruit Stand].

Hello,

Today I downloaded the wonderful MGAI Airbus A330 MRTT of MMF (FSX - P3D). I have FSX, but do not know which model I need...

With kind regards,

you need the RR_UAE model as shown in the aircraft cfg. also it might be better to use the FS9 model in FSX.

For FSX:
  1. Download the original FS9 models here: https://library.avsim.net/search.php?Se ... &Go=Search or use the P3Dv4 conversion package from our hangar
  2. Replace the models with the ones from Gavin a few posts above.

Recently downloaded a load of models from MAIW which i'm hoping to test as & when I can as they are purely for online use on vatsim so not a lot of mil traffic but i'd still quite like to see the correct mil traffic when it does appear instead of everything as generic models & all fighters as an A10 etc. aha. luckily some of the aussies are currently flying about in the kc30 and the model showed almost perfectly with one small glitch... both cargo doors on the model kept opening & closing. Just wondering if this is to do with the model being used or am I going wrong somewhere.

I believe it was RAAF MRTT-KC-30A A39-003 with the GE model.

any help would be appreciated.

Cheers,
