For my birthday last week a friend of mine (MSoden1991) very kindly took me up to RAF Coningsby for a days spotting, & it definitely did not disappoint. Plenty of Typhoon movements including a singular QRA launch as well as a few visitors as well, 2 USAF F-15E's did a fly through & a BAE Systems operated ERJ-145.

Re: RAF Coningsby Feb 2022
Those shots are stunning - I think they were fun to make it!
But don't you agree that watching them may be a little boring? Not your fault, but I am sorely missing the variety of the aircraft from thence when you could spot Tornados, Phantoms, F-15/16 etc etc. Although we can see the best jets at present obviously, sometimes I would like to see the less perfect - the ugly ones of that time

Re: RAF Coningsby Feb 2022
Thanks Mafred,
Yeah I know what you mean, the Typhoon doesn't do a lot for me. I think it's a little bland to look at, especially compared to the types you mentioned there. What I wouldn't give to see some active Phantoms at a base somewhere. That said, it may happen later in the year I go off to Turkey for Anatolian Eagle, so we'll see
