RAAF PC-21 question

Post by Joseph29 »

I am installing the RAAF PC-21's based at RAAF East Sale and I have a question about them. On scramble.nl they have a few of the PC-21's that I had installed in the CFS squadron now list them in the Pilatus squadron. Where is this Pilatus squadron based? I never heard of this squadron before.

The registrations are A54-033, A54-034, A54-035, A54-036, A54-039, A54-040, A54-043, and A54-044.

I don't think it is a sqn. I think they are with the manufacturer. Now where their maintenance facility is on base or somewhere else in Australia I don't know.

Now the other thing is that Scramble is out of date in the Orbats section. It still has the BFTS at Tamworth with CT/4s whereas they have moved to East Sale as 1 FTS on PC-21s. It does mention this on the page.

Has someone written a flightplan for the RAAF PC-21 or are the PC-21's replacing another aircraft. If no flightpplan exists, I'll give it a try. Thanks.

Looks like my RAAF sqns. are still equipped with PC-9s. From Matrix? There are several FPs for them; split by airbase.

Or Orbx freely supply "AI Traffic Australia and New Zealand P3Dv4" which has FSX PC-9 & PC-21 with flightplans.

The Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) farewelled the Pilatus PC-9/A on 12 December 2019, completing over 30 years of operations and more than 500,000 flying hours since entering service in November 1987.
They were sold off bit by bit via an online auction.

Use the PC9 Traffic files you should already have and amend them for the PC21. I think this is what I did some time ago !!
