My Finland Border Guard plans

Post by Joseph29 »

I wanted to add the Finland Border Guard 4 AW119 Koala helicopters to my sim. Since I couldn't find plans for them, I decided to make my own. I would like to know what do you think of them? Can they be improved in anyway? I got the destinations from photos from different websites.

The thing with military plans is that nobody can really improve them. They can do different things, they can do less things, than can do more things but nothing is wrong.
Realistically, the only two things that you need to watch for is that that they fly too much or that they land away too much. These depend upon the aircraft type.

Thanks for the tips.

And if anyone wants to use those plans go right ahead.

Thanks for doing these plans. Do you also have paints, as they were on my to-do list?

the only thing I will add is to drop the "@" from the plans, it can cause problems.
I only use "F" (forward) in my plans and not the "R" (return).

"F" is for flight number and "R" for registration.

So "R,0000" is perfectly fine. ATC will address the flight as "Oscar Hotel Hotel Victor Lima" or whatever registration you put in the beginning of the line.

Jon, The paints for the Finnish Border Guard are in the FSX Conversion package. I can release them for FS9 if people would like them.

I was waiting until the updated FS9 model with the corrected transparency to be released, but I don't know if you've had a chance to look at that yet.

I thought I'd sent the updated FS9 model for upload a while back, although I haven't visited the site much lately as we're about to move house. I'll re-send it if it's gone missing..

Joseph29, thanks for doing those up. Agree with Steve on mil plans, however I sometimes go back in with AIFP and change altitudes or destinations based on known IRL open source data and my experience (especially helos). I'm trying to track down some older FS9 plans I did for the USN Sea Rangers to apply to the TH-73.

I'll upload the update with the corrected transparencies again, as it seems to have gone AWOL.

I've just uploaded the repaints of the AW119 for the Finnish Border Guard, together with some repaints for Aircraft from South Africa, Ecuador, Bangladesh and the US Navy. These are FS9 versions of the repaints in the FSX conversion package. Sorry no flight plans.
