Missing Textures

Post by bvanhout »

Good afternoon All,

I am having an issue with some of my MAIW scenery. The scenery objects are visible but don't have any textures. Some have parts textured areas but the larger area has not textures.

I have imported the objects to MCX and all appear normal in that programme. The big "offenders" appear to be the MAIW ABO and EuroMil Objects files. The strange thing is however, that some of the objects in these files display perfectly.

In the attached image you will see one object with some textures visible and other not and the hangar in the background with all textures.

I have the latest nVidia drivers installed.

Any advise is appreciated.

Brian

EDIT: For some reason I could not add the image.

Hi Brian,
Sorry it has taken so long to find this post.

So, if I understand this correctly you are converting the libs to another sim. Is this correct?
If so, I presume that you are converting the FS9 versions, but to which sim version?
Steve

Sounds like the old case of duplicate libraries.

Do a search and make sure you only have one instance of any particular library bgl file with all the required textures.

Sometimes you'll find the same library bgl file in scenery A and scenery B but scenery A doesn't contain all the textures (only the ones required for that particular scenery to reduce the package size). The sim only loads a library once and if it's the one from scenery A, it results in missing textures in scenery B.
