Tyndall AFB Scenery

Post by JeffH »

I am having a problem w/Tyndall.
I have all the objects (Electrical poles) all over the runways.
I placed all the files where they suppose to be. Where could the conflict be.
I have no other Tyndall files anywhere. What could be the conflict?

My first forum engagement, hopefully I did everything right.

Jeff by chance do you know who made the scenery? Who is credited with it??

I'm trying to figure out if the light poles were placed individually as objects or as a whole scenery object??

If all of the other scenery objects are correctly placed on the field, then we can probably figure out where the issue is.

Welcome to the site btw!

The first inclination I get when I hear that there are light/electric poles all over a scenery is that they are autogen bleeding through. They tend to be associated with the default roads. Generally when a scenery is created, there needs to be an exclude file to get rid of those.

All
I found the culprit: USA Roads. I deselected USA Roads in the FS9 Scenery Library, and the poles went away.
Now I will try to load the Tyndall scenery.

Thanks to all

I am trying to locate repaints for Tyndall. Are there additional QF-16 repaints? I have Mark H's four repaints, curious if others are available. Also, are there T-38 repaints for Tyndall? I've looked through my files and done file searches with no luck. Thanks in advance.

Those 4 are the only ones I know about, obviously more QF-16s have been converted IRL since. No paints for the 2x (only Langley now)T-38 squadrons, I only adjusted FPs to have them in the correct location since many were HO jets and quickly via paint.net added the TY or FF to the tails (I'm not a painter).

Thanks for the response. I figured I might have to mess with the flight plans and get "creative" around the repaints.
