Kadena F-15 repaints

Post by bigmac98 »

I'm just wondering if anyone is working on repaints for the Kadena F-15
squadrons?

Hi Mark,

It would be great if you could work up one or two repaints. After a quick review of the Kadena F-15 photos at airliners.net, it looks like the Kadena squadrons fly aircraft with and without the "ZZ" tailcode. Photos from Victoria, Australia taken in March 2007 show F-15C 78-0544 with a ZZ tailcode and a red fin stripe, while F-15C 78-0479 has only a tail number.
Photos taken at Nellis AFB in January 2007 show F-15C 81-0040, 83-0023, and 83-0025 without the ZZ tailcode. As of early 2007 the 44th FS was flying several aircraft without the ZZ code. Maybe someone can tell us more about this and also how the 67th FS markings may differ.

Hi Mark,

I just found your Kadena repaints at Avsim. Thanks very much for these repaints and all the others that you have provided for Nick Black's most excellent F-15. Your efforts are much appreciated!

Are there any plans for further repaints? I would like to add some Eagles to St Louis.

Mark has already released his SL coded Eagles from the Mizzou ANG, just search for his name on avsim.

Active Duty USAF F-15s

Post by mikeblaze »

All remaining active duty USAF F-15s not in official MAIW packages have been painted and submitted to MAIW staff for future package releases (Kadena, Tyndall, Eglin AFBs). Look for future AVSIM releases of ROKAF and JASDF squadron paints for F-15J/DJ/K models soon........ Awesome work by all contributors, official (Des, Graham, et al....) and unofficial (Mark Walsh and anybody I didn't mention), great effort to make a free hobby that much more realistic. I look forward to a lot more good work in the future.

....hopefully a KLUF Luke AFB package soon, the F-16 capital of the world with eight resident squadrons........
