I haven't had time to install the finished articles yet, home related issues . Its going to be tricky for me to do so tomorrow, football related issues , but I will try my best and then I will deliberately look at that base for traffic.
If anybody else in the mean time checks a standard install could they let us know whether they found traffic or not and whether they have any KSUX afcad issues. Thanks.

I am in process of installing the GLANGP1 package. I am using FSX. I know your package is for FS9, and I am making the required adjustments for my system. This concerns the voicepaks. Using the new Editvoicepak for FSX, it imported all the voicepacks with the exception of Range1.vcpmod, stating that Pilot 3 (male) voice was missing. I have made my own Range1.evpmod to replace the file in your package.
My thinking that maybe the newer Editvoicepak for FSX might have better error checking then the original for FS9, I would bring it to your attention to see if that particular file might have an error?

I pretty sure it is missing a voice, thanks for the heads up.

....sorry 'bout that...I thought I had those voicepacks covered pretty well....my apologies.
Re: Great Lakes Air National Guard Part 1 and Part 2 by MAIW
No biggie, we'll fix it.
I think the way it's gonna work now that AVSIM is taking uploads again is that we'll let the new packages get released here first then after a week or so with hopefully all of the bugs that anyone can find all worked out, then we'll upload to AVSIM. The result is that we'll have ultra high quality packages when we finally upload them to AVSIM.
Essentially we're adding many more eyes to the packages to try to get them as clean as possible. It should be a good format to follow.

Re: Great Lakes Air National Guard Part 1 and Part 2 by MAIW
FYI,
For all you perfictionists...lol.
The Illinois Air Guard unit at KSPI, Springfield, 183FW, has since been moved to Ft. Wayne, Indiana, 122FW. This move was made just this summer I believe so it would not show in this great new package.
The ILANG is still active at KSPI as a maintenance and upgrade facility, so its not uncommon to still see many F16's on the ramp. But now local plane spotters will begin to see all types of USAF on the ground there.

Re: Great Lakes Air National Guard Part 1 and Part 2 by MAIW
I have a couple of questions myself.
I have downloaded your new ANG packages, and have printed out all the instructions.I'm reading them now, before I try to install them.
Anyway I do have the much older Great Lakes ANG packages(ANG PACKS),by Dan Bourque, and they are still installed.
It appears in the readme I don't have to remove any of the previous ANG packages I have installed, that may have been by Dan Bourque.I have just about all of them installed to date.
I want to ask since I have all the older ANG packages installed,do I have to remove any of the MAIW AI plane packages, that were used back then?
At the moment I'm still in readme mode, before I attempt installing these two new Great Lakes packages. It looks pretty complex at the moment Ha!.

In your case my first bit of advice would be to install the two packages to a temporary folder so you don't accidentally overwrite anything that you don't want to. Then you can compare the new stuff with what you already have.
I didn't help out much with these two packages so I cannot with certainty comment on what parts of the older ANG packs from DB that these two may duplicate/cover. Des knows better than I. I don't want to tell you the wrong thing.

yeah, its best to remove all of those packages, I omitted stating this in the readme but you might as well remove all of those old packages...im just saying

Des we'll add that to the list of fixes for the AVSIM upload version.

OK I had a little tinker with it, I think that this should satisfy everybody. Let me know if not.

Re: Great Lakes Air National Guard Part 1 and Part 2 by MAIW
Thanks for the info so far before I get started with the installs.I do have part 1&2 in temp folders at the moment.
Now I'll have to find all those older packages by D.B.Of concern would be finding and do I need to remove all the MAIW plane packages?,that came with the older D.B Great Lakes ANG packages.Thats going to be a tough one for me,because I'll have to figure out what plane packages were in them at the time.I'm sure there in my FS9/Addon/acft./folder,but which AI packages, hmmmm.
At the moment I'm playing chicken with the new installs, untill I get all of D.B's packages and AI planes removed etc.Hunting I will go.
Thanks thus far.

I think the easiest way to go about it would be to go to your FS9/Scenery/World/Scenery folder and locate all of the old DB ANG package traffic files.
IIRC they were all named well enough that you can figure out just from the file names which packages you may have installed.
If it were me, I would then decompile each of those traffic files with TTools and see which aircraft were in the aircraft list and which airports were in the airport lists for each traffic file. That would give me most of the information I would need to hunt down those aircraft and AFCAD files that were part of his original packages.
The other idea would be to just download those ANG packs again, once you know which ones you had installed. D/L them again to a temp folder and you could then see exactly what files you probably have installed previously.

Or you could remove the traffic files as Mike said, then run ACA2005 to look for aircraft not linked to any flight plans within your FS setup. Both ways mentioned will do the trick.

There is a link to it on the WOAI site if I remember correctly. It's under recommended programs or something I think...
