It takes months, sometimes years for a model to go from idea to release. We made a conscious decision right at the start of MAIW not to include any models that were not pure AI.

There is nothing to hinder anyone adding "stand in" aircraft to the packages we release for their own use.

When you consider that we have included the new EA/18 Growler in the package, there would be little point in spending months and more modelling the Prowler, which will be replaced by the EA/18.

So far I can say it has been great watching the screenshots on the homepage and finally getting a chance to download this package. I'm wondering if anyone else has had problems with textures not loading.

Trying to drag this back towards a slightly more productive place  : Is it safe to assume that the Growler shares the same FDE as the E-F models? Or are the differences which necessitates having a seperate folder?

I'm trying to keep the amount of duplicate folders in my FS install to a minimum, so I thought I'd ask.

I'm not sure about FDE differences, Mike M will have to chime in there but the config for the Growler actually uses the atc name "Growler" while the E-F models use the atc name "F18", not a huge issue but just a bit of extra realism to differentiate the different models

Keith you might have to manually install the package to a temporary folder and then grab that file. I would bet that the file path name is too long for your computer's taste. We've seen this issue before.

Or if you know which file/s you need still, you can just list them here and any one of us should be able to PM them to you.

Long awaited package for me, along with that dream of a East Coast Hornet package, BZ job gents my FS skies are full of Naval Avaition! Now if I only download it here in A-Stan.

reconmercs, just want to confirm ATC is id'ing the Growler as a F18, as all F18's are the same real world for ATC.

"N1234, traffic is a F18 on short final", vice "N1234, traffic is a Growler on short final"

All packages are a point in time snapshot, not up to the minute, however if you know of an AI F-35 we will be glad to include it. :D

I just installed it & went to fly my Alphasim F-4B Phantom from Parking Spot 71, the textures took forever & it cause my FS9 to crash so I restarted. Tried again from 71, a CTD while loading. So then I restart FS9 to takeoff from the Runway, it CTD. Anyone else having this problem? Any idea how to solve it?

FS9 correct??

Have you tried that same user aircraft at another place nearby? If so, are you still getting a CTD. Have you tried changing the seasons or time of day.

This sounds like a 3rd party add on not playing well with the AI or scenery perhaps? What other payware or freeware products do you have installed for that area?

I've tried it with default FS9 Cessna, at day/night....changed seasons etc. It all causes a CTD. I deactivate the scenery & it's fine. I don't have anything else installed for that area except for Ultimate Terrain.

I reactivated the scenery & got CTD when I tried to start any where on Patuxent, so I start at a waypoint & flew in....no CTD. Then I tried it from Patuxent....it worked..so far I think I got it to work. Any ideas what it could of been?
