Just a quick update of where I am with the Vulcan. The modelling for the primary LOD is just about done, animated and mapped to a texture sheet that still needs to be fleshed out with panel lines and markings etc. I've been adding in the parts that are needed for the secondary versions - Blue Steel, K2 refuelling pod, Shrikes/ALQ101 Jammer (Black Buck) and the "Sniffer" pods for the MRR (S2). Here's a composite model with wrap around camo for XM588, that I'll split into the appropriate models/loads once all the LODs are done and then do the corresponding paints and FSX conversion:

Words like 'Dogs' and 'B*ll*cks' spring to mind here.

Yes, we do get conditions like that, particularly in the winter months. Here's a shot with real world weather in FS9 at 08.30 this morning:
Not as dark, but the cloud is totally overcast and the base is on the ground.

John, this is absolutely outstanding work and I thank you for it.
My currant FS effort is the 'recreation' of the RAF circa 1982, when we had an air force and life was much simpler in that one new from which direction the 'baddies' would be coming from. It was also coincident with my early days in the RAF and I well remember talking-down a stream of 7 Vulcans that diverted from Waddington into a secret air station in Oxfordshire due to the east side of the country going 'RED' in fog. Their arrivals were impressive enough at night but to see them on the dispersals next day was superb.
There's just one remaining for you after this project - you know, the bannana shaped one!

I was standing in front of XL360 yesterday, your version looks just the same...brilliant.
