Ok yes it does seem that the contact points in the HC2 cfg are causing the problem, when i change them to the cougar they do not bounce but sit lower!

Much thanks

So it looks better now and doesn't fling itself into a tree but you have got the same issue that Jim noticed and I confirmed.

With the Cougar, no bouncey-bouncey, but they sit lower is that correct?

Yes Steve they do sit lower, but all else works fine and i would be happy to have it like that!

After some testing the explanation for the Puma behaviour on long runways is a combination of the extremely high AoA and the dead stop landing.
As explained before on short runways the AoA approach is lower so you don't get the issue.

You would think that for short strips you would have a slower landing speed and therefore a higher AoA, but not for the FS9 AI engine, it is the reverse.

I have seen this problem with 1 other model, i have a piper pa24 that does the exact same thing, i may look into changing the contact point so see if it gets rid of the problem too!

Much thanks

If the nose is that high of the ground on touchdown I would look for another fde in a similar class.

Hi, does anyone have a paint they are willing/able to share of RAF Puma HC2 ZJ955 in current colour scheme rather than the Black Peter scheme?

Many thanks,

Geoff
