Two New Packages to start April

Post by MIKE JG »

We've got two new versions of previously released MAIW packages.

MAIW RAF Mildenhall Version 2 by Tony Dalton:
RAF Mildenhall is born again with the release of version 2 of the MAIW RAF Mildenhall complete AI package by Tony Dalton. Starting with brand new custom scenery for RAF Mildenhall, our latest version of this Royal Air Force station features the KC-135R Stratotankers of the 100th Air Refueling Wing and the C-130 Hercules of the 67th Special Operations Squadron. Featuring the MAIW KC-135R model, this package adds new versions of the legendary tanker including new refueling versions with custom animations. Tony and his team have gone to great detail to recreate RAF Mildenhall including a fully customized airfield file that accomodates other MAIW traffic packages. Be sure to follow the instructions from the included Readme file as this package completely replaces the original version from Military AI Works. We hope you enjoy this fantastic package that really brings RAF Mildenhall to life in your virtual skies!

MAIW Republic of China Air Force 401st TFW Version 2 by Mark Campbell:
The 401st Tactical Fighter Wing of the Republic of China Air Force package has been updated by Mark Campbell in this second version of the original package. This is a simple update which replaces the original F-5 model with correct RF-5E version by Mike Pearson and Mike MacIntyre using the original source files from Jake Burrus. This is a new RF-5E AI model and a unique looking version at that! As in the original version, all 68 F-16A/B models of the 401st TFW are included as well as customized scenery. As with all updated versions of MAIW packages, please take the time to read the instructions inside the included Readme file for replacement of the original version.

Awesome, installing now into FSX. I do believe there could be a v2.1 with the 67th SOS about to receive their first MC-130J and a "hopeful" not too far off V-22 AI model for the 7th SOS when they transition to CV-22's. Really liking the new KC-135 models and tanking.

A brilliant piece of work thanks.
Working well in FSX (haven't tried with the trees - might give them a go tomorrow). Have also not tried the new AI and traffic file yet. The old version and all my additional traffic looks great. Especially Daryl Payne's four Silk Purse ECs - parked in their proper realistic spots for the first time!
