Guys, I am still having no luck in downloading files from your site. I have tried using windows explorer, google chrome, firefox, I have also tried from the laptop (in fact two different lap tops) but the files will not download. I even disabled my security, but the problem persists, I am beginning to think the problem is at your end as I have no problem downloading files from other sites. I would be grateful for your thoughts/help

Hi all, just installed this pack and converted it over to FSX. Does anyone else run it with Horizon VFR scenery and find that the base does not correctly line up with the photo scenery (it's a metre or two out)? Anyone found a way to fix it?

I use VFR Scenery in FS9 and I've seen the same problem. Only way is to move the entire airfield scenery so it matches the VFR scenery. Don't forget to amend the AI traffic files to reflect the new lon/lat of the repositioned base.

I had a feeling that would be the case! Checked the coordinates in the MAIW pack and they seem to be the correct ones, so looks like I'll have to do a bit of tinkering. :?

Three of the HU5 Sea Kings appear to be incorrectly identified in the Aircraft.txt file (unless this is a P3D issue). XZ578/ZA130/ZA134 have "//Ganet" at the end of the aircraft name, and AIFP 3.113 does not appear to accept that. Removing this suffix corrects the issue.

It corrects the issue with AIFP. There never was an issue with P3D (or FS for that matter) as it respects comments.

I agree with Greg. Is it a current version of AIFP, Christopher? Don will correct this if you report it.

most current is 3.1.18 if I remember correctly.

I have manually corrected it, as AIFP 3.113 did not do it automatically.

Will this package work in P3D v3?

Chris,
The package is an FS9 package, so this would mean that it is not 100% compatible. It may be that you will need the usual adaptation to FSX that Martin's doc mentions and it may well be very compatible.

The only way to see how well it translates is to try it, unless somebody already has.

Having one of my usual tidy ups and discovered in this package a couple of ICAOs that I can't find any details about.

The ICAOs in question are EGAZ and FLE1.

Anyone any ideas.

Many Thanks

Jim

Those aren't in Gary's package, are you sure they came from us? I have done a search for both on my system and I don't have them.

They're both used in the "Traffic_MAIW_RN SEAKINGS HU5" flightplan.

FLE1 is a TNG in the Solent, so is probably just a WP, EGAZ is in N. Ireland and looks as if it should be an airfield of some sort, as the aircraft lands there for a while.

FLE1 maybe a WP for Fleetlands which used to be a servicing depot for helicopters. Its now closed.
