Good news.
As Mike has 'retired' to build a full size real life airplane (hope he remembers the LODs) , I have found another partner in crime to assist with the Falcons.
Firebird aka Steve.

Going forward I am going to change the naming convention slighly as I realised using the country name in the title would create a lot of duplicates.

So for example by using...
WSMG_F16C52_C1A_W59

C1A - Configuration 1 might be AIM-120, AIM9L, SNIPER, Fuel Tanks. Used by lots of different countries.
The A - We have identified 4 different types of nav light housing on the intake (up to now)
A - Original teardrop
B - Extended teardrop
C - Extended and swept back teardrop
D - The huge thing the UAE and Israel uses.

The Wxx will remain as the associated weapons texture.

Should allow things to progress faster...fingers crossed.

Putting it all together -
F16C
Block52
Configuration 1
With standard teardrop nav light housing
Using weapons texture 59

Lets see how it all goes.

These look great and love the Have Glass Scheme. Were these ever released or made available?

Thanks!

Thanks for the update Mike!

I appreciate all the wonderful paints you and the other developers here produce.

If needed, I can help with help flightplans for the 180th?

Sure if you want to do flight plans for them, we could include those in a package release here in a few weeks. There is already excellent freeware scenery available for Toledo and I have a AFD file we could use for that so it would make a nice little package.

I hear them pretty regularly on the ATC center frequency either heading out to the MOA's in this area or coming back. Callsigns are typically "Sting", "Buzz" or "Buckeye". They seem to use the Buckeye MOA in southern Ohio or the Steelhead MOA over Lake Huron.

Meanwhile I think Lewis and I have settled on the 16th WPS birds at Nellis for the next release. We could use some community help here as this squadron is a bit disorganized right now due to moving aircraft around.

Notice the 'HL', 'HO', 'OS' and even 'AZ' tail codes in there. I understand where and why the 'HL' tail codes are in there. Those are refugees from the short lived 24th Tactical Air Support Squadron which only stood up in 2018 and stood down in December of last year. It had 8 F-16s from Hill AFB assigned to it which at least 4 jets appear now to have been integrated into the 16th WPS. Some of those are still flying with their Hill AFB tail bands.

What I don't understand is the rest of the non 'WA' tail codes. Not sure if the Holloman coded aircraft at physically at Nellis or are being used remotely at Holloman for the USAF school house.

Anyways if anyone is bored and wants to see if you can hunt down current images for all of the list aircraft above, that would help us complete the package. Many of the pictures floating around are not that current and do not reflect what they probably are flying today.

Mike, ran into similar issues trying to spread out the old Hill Vipers to their new homes and stand up Holloman by moving Luke/Hill/etc jets around. Much like scramble, not all of the databases on F-16.net are updated (not sure if someone on scramble uses that site).

With the Aviano F16's just having been released for FS9 I wonder if at some stage they will be converted for use in P3Dv4?

If/when this happens then we will need some scenery for Aviano. I have looked at what I had when I still used FS9 and it was a scenery by John Stinstrom “LIPA_JS.zip”. Has anybody done a conversion for this or have a decent alternative. If not then I will try and convert myself.

I can't speak about the scenery but on the models the general principle, I believe, is that all versions will be available to all.
This does not mean that that they will be rolled out within days of each other - just that it is hoped that all will get done.

There is no two production lines so there will be differences in releases.

Fully understood Steve, I was hoping that someone had already done the scenery conversion for LIPA but have decided to go ahead with it myself anyway. John's scenery with the HTAI F16's looks pretty good in my p3d. Just some tidying up to do resizing parking and installing anti-pushback nodes.

Back when I had FS9 there was WSMG AI F-16's for the South Carolina ANG, Osan, Misawa, and I think the Minnesota ANG. Will those be converted to P3D eventually?

Good thing I saw this. I downloaded the new planes and was going to install them but I didn't realize they were for FS9 (I use P3D).
