Yes, John, the same entries in my directory/folder.
Only difference is mine is P3Dv3.4.22.19868.
I do have ORBX Southern California which includes Yuma, but I have "removed" all ORBX KYUM.
MAIW KYUM is above all the ORBX in priority.
I'm about to download the package once more and reinstall.

I just moved up to 4.4 and will give it a look. I had a few issues after installing ORBX and their KYUM and I had manually installed MCAS Yuma prior to using Matrix.

Downloaded, reinstalled. No joy.
I still believe it's my P3Dv3.

Question: I have a 120GB SSD with my operating system on it, and a 1TB data hard drive. Can I install P3D on this setup? Would it be better if I get a dedicated SSD for P3D?

Thanks

That is several questions.
Yes, you can use that setup, but not ideal especially for the OS partition.
I would never put anything other than the OS on that SSD as it is very small.
Yes you should consider getting another SSD.

I would consider getting a bigger SSD for the OS (240 GB), especially as the next update for Win 10 will start blocking off sizeable areas of your C: drive for updates.
I would consider splitting your HD into several partitions to separate your stuff out over the disk (e.g Work, P3D, Music etc. Also convert the HD from MBR into GPT (better drive resilience and more partitions).
Get a second SSD for the majority of your P3D stuff. What I mean here is most of the system access will be on loading scenery so put your scenery on the SSD and your aircraft on the HD. It will be faster than putting all on the SSD.

What you could do is similar to what I did. I got a 240GB SSD and moved my C: drive onto that. On the old 120GB SSD I created my S: disk for scenery and moved my FS9 scenery across to that. It will be cheaper than than buying 2x SSDs.
If you are feeling particularly flush then by all means buy two 240GB SSDs and then use the 120GB one for your P3D non-scenery installs.

Thanks Firebird for the information. I will order 2 250GB SSD for the setup and will start working on the HD to partition it.

I may have to ask more questions later when I am ready to install P3D.

Firebird I installed two M.2 SSD drives to my computer. A 250GB Samsung 970 EVO for the OS, a 500GB Crucial MX500 for P3D. All up and running with a fresh install of Windows 10. I also made 2 500GB partitions on the 1 TB HDD. One for games, the other for P3D aircraft. I used the 120GB SSD for XPlane. All drives are set to GPT.

I purchased P3D 4.4 and installed it on the MX500 with no problems. I also installed Matrix and installed all regions on the HDD under P3D aircraft. Did I do that correctly?

Thanks for your advice and help.

As far as I can tell that is fine.
The key thing that I have found is to have all scenery on the fastest drive, which would be the SSD.

I'm setting up my new Windows 10 PC and I want to transfer and upgrade my P3Dv4.2 to the new machine and re-use the license, but I'm not clear how to do that.

I obviously need to delete the old installation, but in doing that (via Control Panel/delete programs) does that also remove the registration key so that I can use it on the new PC?

How do I get to the P3Dv4.5 full download on the LM site without having to pay again?

I'm assuming that after installation, activating with my 4.2 license will activate 4.5.

Could anyone help please?

John

John, you need to login onto LM with your credentials (either customer or license), then you can re-download the installer.

Just thinking....if it is possible please de-install P3D on the old computer while online, then you can install P3D on the new computer without any hassle. Otherwise it might be that you have to deal with LM for the license transfer.

John, you need to uninstall all P3D modules. When you uninstall the Client, you will be prompted about whether or not you wish to
deactivate Prepar3D. Select deactivate. Now you can install on another machine and activate your licence there.

The detailed instructions are in this document:
