Looking really good Henk,

You have a million more versions of the F-18 than I do of the F-22 (and it's more complex) but I would bet your conversion is released before mine :-)

I love you guys! Thank you so very much for tackling this project! Nick Black did a very nice job on the original models, and now they look better than ever.

Are the Super Hornets & C-17s available anywhere?

Also, I would like to add following to the wishlist:
-Tornados
-Eurofighters
-Legacy Hornets
-Eagles
-KC-135

Those make for the most of AI mil traffic from Finnland all the way to the Middle East. Pretty empty skies wothout 'em.

The Super Hornets, Hornets and C-17s are done, but not yet released. We are currently reworking some things.

Eurofighters are planned, Eagles will surely be done sooner or later.

Sorry for the Tornado though. Nobody seems to be able to locate Fernando and bring in his approval for the conversion.

Do you mean F-15 Eagles? If so why don't you just use John Young's F15?

John Young's FSX JYAI F-15C's work great in P3D v4.1 as shown in the screenshots at the following link:

I don't know which models I have, they were probably included in the Lakenheath 2.0 package...

Just thinking ahead. Someone suggested to me that the McDonnel Douglas KC-10A would be a good project for P3Dv4 because we don't have permission to convert the FS9 one. Is that true please and if not, are there plans to produce a P3Dv4 version?

According to Wikki there are still 59 in service with the USAF at Travis, McGuire and Al Dhafra UAE. The RNAF also have two.

The other suggestion I'm considering is a Tu160 Blackjack, but I'm not sure what the conversion position is with that one and I haven't yet scoped the numbers and variations. I'm not looking for anything as big as the Tornado project again.

If I didn't make either of the above, is there something else that is needed, but can't be converted because we don't have permission please?

John

Good morning, John.

The Tu-160 has just received a good paint job from Menno. Next week I guess we can pass it back to Sergey who will release it and we are then free to do the conversion.

High on the Owls Nest wish list poll is the Eurocopter Tiger, the CH-46 Sea Knight and the Lockheed S-3 Tracker.

Obviously never appearing but always very wished for here in the forum are the Grumman (E)A-6 Intruder/Prowler and the Grumman E-2 Hawkeye. I never received any answer from Eric Dantes and now his whole side is gone.

Personally I always hoped to see the Nimrod which would go together very well with your UK fleet. Also on my wish list are the Noratlas and the Fairchild C-119 Provider (would go well together with your Beverly).

And there is something water bound which I would love to see, but you know this...:-)

For me I am happy seeing new models. I almost don't care what they are are. If they are replacements then nice, if they are new models then even better.

If I think of a really good candidate that matches your requirements I will let you know.

Charles Dayhuff (AI Malcontent) is MIA so nobody obtained permission to convert his models and distribute them. As far as I know, there are no plans for a new KC-10A.

Hi - I am new on this forum.
Can anyone confirm that the fantastic A-6 intruder works on P3Dv4.
I have used a couple of hours trying to make it work - but so far no luck.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Thansk John

Hi John and welcome!

Have you picked the right model? This Version works well in P3Dv4.

If this is the one you have, we need a bit more information what you are seeing, where you placed the files etc.

Hi GSNDE Thanks for your kind reply.
The A-6 intruder file is unzipped, which gave two aircraft files. I have place both in my simObjects/aircraft library. Starting my P3Dv4 in my basic setup (a S-3 Viking parked on NAS Oceana) i try to change aircraft to the A-6 - The A-6 is nowhere to be found in the aircraft inventory. I have 146 naval aircraft but not the A-6. I went through all the planes twice.
I don't know what's wrong.
So if you have some advice it would be most welcome.

Thanks
John

That is because none of the aircraft you can find here at MAIW are user flyable. They are all AI aircraft, no matter how good they are looking.

For that reason you can’t find them in the P3D selection.

If this is my Intruder you have installed, then note what it says in underlined text on the front page of the manual - "These aircraft are not designed to be user-flyable".

They will not be visible in the aircraft selection menu because they are for AI use only - it's what we do here.

John

Sorry Martin, you got in while I was typing.
