Greg wrote: 18 May 2018, 19:39 Hi Dean,

Do I understand correctly that you're planning to make one large package containing the converted models for the F-14, F-5 and A-4 plus the converted retro Miramar scenery?
Hi,

Yes, pretty much. The TopGun package will be the same as the FS9 version but with everything updated for FSX in native format. To account for P3D's differing model and scenery bgl format there will be a second identical package but in native P3D format.

Just seen Martin "Mike"'s response :) Sounds like they'll come as separate packages.

Pardon my impatience and excitement. Is there a potential release date for the Miramar FSX package? My Aerosoft "Big Cat" wants to come home...

On a serious note, I sincerely appreciate the efforts and contributions made by the MAIW community...

Regards,

Nick

Hi Nick,

The completed FSX Tomcats and scenery are complete and have been passed on to an MAIW administrator. I should imagine that they'll announce the update package soon. The P3D version will take a little while longer due to some extra animations that have to be added.

And the F-14D Tomcat Sunset models are all now converted to FSX format and showing up nicely in the MAIW NAS Oceana scenery :)

Great news, Dean! When will you pass them over to me? Then I can finalize the package.

I sent the link about an hour ago :) You should have all FSX-converted versions of the Tomcat now, plus the MAIW Miramar scenery.

It's in the QA queue, together with 26 (!) other model conversion packages.

The plan is to release a batch of turboprop trainers first (this weekend or the next), then helicopters, then more jets including the Tomcat.

This is SUCH great news.

Have an upgraded pc, P3Dv4 and Matrix up and humming smoothly .... can’t wait.

Will this be a Matrix package or standalone? I’m guessing standalone, so I’ll have to somehow deconflict from the Matrix-installed MCAS Miramar with V-22s, F-35s, etc?

Really stoked about this. Huge thanks to the team in advance.
