Manfred, that looks stunning. Brings back many happy memories of RAFG and is a fabulous memorial to the place and those who served there.

Manfred, what an entertaining video! Well done with the scenery - the domestic housing, that I had not seen before, looks terrific.
Looking forward to Part 2.

Very nice indeed!
I for one am staying with P3D for some time. MSFS in some cases looks nice, but I find the overall interface, etc, too "game"like for me.
Cheers,
Darren

Okay - here comes the second video. It shows some animations and details of the base, most spots from beyond the military areas

It gets better and better Manfred.
How does the QRA gate trigger work? I can see how for a user-flyable Tornado, but have you managed to crack it for an AI one too?

Re: RAF Brüggen FSX/P3D - Coming, but NOT soon....
Thank you, guys.
@ John: Unfortunately not. It is just a "simple" SODE animation, you can manage it by the text menu command. AI will not open the gates.
I did reflect upon an plausible alternative and did it as follows:
The QRA area has two gates, to north and to south. The south one is a regular SODE animation which is installed around the day without limitations. Here you can do the pilots job by using the SODE text menu, because no AI aircraft use this taxiway .
But to the north, the direct taxiway to the runway, the gate is open permanently by day. That way, your AI Tornados can pass the gate without crash.
At night, the north gate also is closed, because the AI (on the analogy of the flightplans) will not move....
But a trigger solution by AI Tornados would be the icing on the cake, by all means! Should be the same solution like AI jetway request normally...

Absolutely fantastic work Manfred!
Re: RAF Brüggen FSX/P3D - Coming, but NOT soon....
Thank you very much.
Regarding my attempt to finally release Brüggen, I did give up making more videos but show some final shots of final added objects while BETA is in progress.
For a long time, I ask myself how to make RAF Brüggen less flat - on many airports in FSX / P3D you almost can see from one end to the other. So my idea was to simply add a lot of smaller mounts nearby taxiways or roads to suggest a non flat air base.
And I think it works better than I did expect....

RELEASED
Soon you can download the scenery in the download section.
I want to thank all guys here for their help. Without you the scenery would not have this quality. I appreciate the support here,
especially of John (Young).
Thank you for all the Tornados and the Gazelles which makes the scenery that much alive. Hope you will enjoy the airbase!

Users who responded in other forums confirmed that Brüggen runs fine also in P3Dv5! This is really good news and I am very happy about this....

Manfred, you really expanded the limits of what is possible with scenery design, thank you for this amazing and innovative piece of art!
Henk.
EDIT: I use P3Dv5.1 with framerate limited to 30 and performance is good.

A 90-odd post tease! Well worth the wait Manschy. Cheers!
Re: RAF Brüggen FSX/P3D - Coming, but NOT soon....
Nice scenery, but what if it doesn't work in FSX SE. Well, I wait when someone creates ETUR for FSX, it may even be a paid add-on. Unfortunately, I don't have P3Dv5, I don't even know where to buy it and how to install it to FSX. I'm sad
Re: RAF Brüggen FSX/P3D - Coming, but NOT soon....
Thank you, mates! I am so glad that everthing works fine, also in P3Dv5 !!!!
We just noticed some small issues with John's Gazelles for Brüggen. There are still the underlines missing in the aircraft.cfg's texture lines.
It's from Delboy99 who found the solution:
>>
Just downloaded the FSX Gazelle package and they look great. Thanks for producing another superb package john.
One little thing I noticed, the textures for the Bruggen aircraft in the aircraft.cfg file need correcting. They are missing the "_" . For example at the moment they show "Bruggen XX386" should be "Bruggen_XX386". Very easy to correct in AIAE or directly in the .cfg file.

Be sad no longer
You can buy P3dV5 here
https://www.prepar3d.com/prepar3d-store/
It doesn't install into FSX. It is its own flight sim. You can keep FSX and have P3D running as well.
