At the end of the day whatever models John produces will be awesome. The tornado could carry so much that I am sure the number of models would be astronomical. I'm just happy that John decided this as his next project, very welcome addition and I can't wait.

In terms of employment the Tornado have Four main roles: conventional strike, Nuclear strike, naval interdiction, ECR strike. Conventional and ECR are common for all the Air forces of UK, Germany and Italy while The Nuclear and Naval is actually still active in Germany and Italy only ( Nuclear UK deployment only for retro configurations ) A new addiction should be the implementation of the long range stand off cruise weapons used in Libya like the Storm Shadow wich i consider a must have with the new model by John

I'll make the additional weapons items next to see what I can squeeze into the sheets. Hopefully I'll accommodate them all.

A little precisation for correct wepon assignement of the B61 nukes
at the present the squadrons qualified and equipped for nuclear strike are the Jagdbombergeschwader 33 ( JaBoG 33) of the German Air Force (Luftwaffe) based at Büchel Air Base , and the 102º Gruppo OCU/CBOC and 154º Gruppo CBOC/CRO of the Italian Air Force based at Ghedi Air Base

I think I've made enough stores for the GR1/GR4 and GR4A for the time being:

They are in a separate Gmax file so I can merge them into specific models as I come to generate them. I've left room on the texture sheet for a couple more, particularly for the German, Italian or Saudi aircraft if needed.

Next job is to make the LODs for the Tornado master model and then convert for the FSX/P3D option.

Wow. Impressive this variety of loads.

Good job John.

This promises us a nice variety of Tornado configurations.

Thank you again for your achievements John.

Awesome work John !!
I think the only addiction should be the Alarm for UK and the Harm for IT and DE both used in the SEAD ECR mission.
Just a note actually the ASRAAM has replaced the AIM9 L for all the user.

I can squeeze the Harm and Alarm onto the sheet I think, but that will be it probably. I still need the AIM-9 for the retro models, but I'll have a look at the ASRAAM - I think I've modelled it before for something else.

John you’re making a masterpiece.
If useful i can provide you the most common loads configuration in use for IT DE and UK. Have no reference for Saudi Arabia but i will made some research about.

The common load configurations would be really useful, thanks. I think Dale can probably help with the Saudi configurations.

I did indeed model the AMRAAM for my F-15 so that's easy to transfer. Just one question, am I right in thinking that the missile is loaded onto the fuel tank rails with the forward fins hidden (retracted?). I think the rear ones are visible though. I've looked at so many videos and photo's, but I'm not 100% sure.

John the Saudi (like most nations) only strap weapons to the aircraft when they are training on the range or on Ops.

The standard fit for usual training sorties is pretty much the same as the RAF. Usually either big or small tanks with either the sky shadow on one wing and the BOZ on the other wing (sometimes one BOZ on each wing instead). Like the RAF some aircraft fly training sorties with the Litening pod fitted even when not on Ops as it can still be used for training purposes (note: the Saudis use https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Damocle ... eting_pod) due to the Litening pod having Isreali parts).
Missiles don't tend to get fitted unless the sortie will involve some form or A2A and I believe they use the ASRAAM (live on Ops and dummy's for training as the dummy's still have the seeker head).

Hope that helps.

John you’re right !
The ASRAAM ( not the AMRAAM )is carried on the wing tank inner rail as shown
