Here's the scenery of Naha that I made. I updated it to include more of the scenery library objects and the parking for the E-2s.

What sim version is this for? If you could get a copy to me, I could see how is fares in all 3 sim versions.

John, congrats on another outstanding naval model! I'm installing now and wanted to confirm the reasons for the switch from the NS Norfolk Seahawks traffic file. I have split my original traffic file into individual squadron .bgls (to sim deployments), I can do this again or adjust my files.

For repainters, who's doing the VAW-125 repaints?

Nobody is doing the VAW-125 repaints at the moment Chris because I haven't uploaded the paint kit yet. I think there's enough E-2's and C-2A's for people to be getting on with for the time being.

I don't know if more people have more FS time on their hands because of the pandemic, but I have been inundated with requests to do a number of small things over the past couple of weeks. I've tried to do as many as I can, but my head has been swimming with different projects and different sim versions, it's just swamping me. I think that's why I created a few problems with the Hawkeye zips - they are quite complicated assemblies and probably better done when not multi-tasking.

I'm grateful for the feedback and there's two further updates I need to make, both for FSX and P3D:

CARRIER OPERATIONS

Pete noticed that the parking spots on the AFCAD in the F-35 download were not big enough to accommodate the E-2 and C-2A. I had obviously amended it myself but forgot to include it in the zip. It's the first file attached below.

NORFOLK NAS STRAY AUTOGEN

The second two files remove the autogen from the northern ramps at Norfolk as reported above.

Apologies for the oversights.

Jetrange, I've set up your Naha scenery in FSX and P3D and it works fine, apart from quite a lot of co-planar flickering and two small problems. The first is a small dome that's up in the air above the ramp at about 1160ft. The second is the presence of autogen trees on the southern taxiway. It does not work at all in FS9 and MCX doesn't recognise the .bgl file for conversion.

Thanks for the feedback on Naha John. I knew that dome was too high so I need to fix that. I also want to point out that on the Point Mugu scenery, autogen trees cover some of the Channel Island Air National Guard ramp, but I can just fix that by adding a polygon.

I'm also already working on a paint of the COD's replacement, which is currently undergoing testing at Pax.

John, you're doing great work beyond many of us lesser simmers here. Your efforts are hugely appreciated, but please give yourself a break occasionally!

Maybe some of us need to rein in the requests to the developers.

Thanks to all those producing work for those of us who can't!

Tested in P3D and looks great. Very cool to "walk" the NGU flightline in avatar mode and watch the E-2/C-2s operate. My JYAI Seahawks were working fine as well from their AFD. Somehow I forgot to add Uchi's NAS Oceana, but that will be fixed. I also have the Haze Gray AI USN ships pulling into port (with the default landclass, so houses on the pier). Heading out to check the wet FDE.

Just wanted to say a big thanks for these John.

Been too busy with work to install but I'm heading into a couple days of free(er) time, so I can't wait to load these in. I believe RFN did some scenery and traffic files into which I believe I could work the Aeronavale versions.

So a big thanks, most especially for the "old" models, as my focus is overwhelmingly the 60s/70s/80s.

Stay healthy and safe.

I noticed a couple of very minor problems with the KNTD scenery when used in P3Dv4 so with the permission of the original author I have made a small updated file:

There are a few C-2/E-2 units still to be painted. I am sure that somebody will do them once the paint kit has been released.

JY or anybody,
I could use some help with the E-2/C-2 install. I've got all of Norfolk looking correct with the aircraft but can't seem to work out the carrier off of Eglin. Carrier shows (with the F-35 aircraft on deck and doing patterns) but no E-2/C-2s on deck. I downloaded the above "AF2_ACJ1.bgl" and installed but no joy. Love the aircraft and work involved, hope you can help me.

Hi Hawkdriver and welcome to the forum.

Did you install the traffic file “Traffic_JYAI_E2_C2_Carrier_D_FSX.bgl”, included in the E-2/C-2A FSX zip?

John,
Thanks for responding. Yes, I did install the traffic file in my scenery/world/ scenery in fsx, also added the traffic_JYAI_E2_C2_carrier_FSX_C bgl. Rob
