Los Alamitos AAF

Post by jetrange »

I decided to make a scenery of a base that no one else seemed to be doing: Los Alamitos AAF. The base is used by the California ARNG 140th Aviation Regiment with Blackhawks, so I'm likely going to be painting those.

It's a great project and one with fixed-wing as well in UC-35s and C-12s. I'm looking at all the Army Reserve and Guard units as I come to grip with the paint kit for the Hawks. Most US Army units are fairly easy since it's a tail number change and occasional unit markings. The big part is understanding the order of battle, even as a former Army guy I'm confused at times with units spread throughout the states!
