Gert, sorry about the missing generic textures (FS9). I've also had a request from John Tenn to change the direction of the mapping on the tip of the nose so stripes can be painted across it, but that involves a bit of work.

For the time being you could generate a pair of generic textures from the paint kit. I will add them to a version 2 zip for the FS9 models once I've remapped the nose tip.

I'll pick up the Canadian ones as well if no one else wants them. The S-92 is a good looking heli I reckon. Always interested to see more whirly birds in the sim

Nice one, Dan. I hope you are luckier than me at finding out the sqn allocation split.

I'll probably guess it if I can't find anything concrete

The only I found was an article some time ago that stated that the government announced that 9x CH-148s would be based on the west coast which I take to mean 443 Sqn.
Whether or not they eventually got all 9, I don't know.and Scramble is of no use as it just lists most of them as 12 Wing which all 3 sqns are part of.

If I do find something though I will pass it on.

However you did that Dan, is it possible for anyone to delve deeper into Scramble? I couldn't get past the 12 Wing level, like Steve.

Well I'll be honest, I got the locations & serials on Scramble. But there are a fair few airframes that have been photographed at Halifax, it comes to about half the fleet so it stands to reason that the rest are based in the west. So based on quite a few shots from Halifax to look at this is what I have based where:

Shearwater (CYAW) (East Coast)
823
810
814
828
817
813
818
808

Victoria (CYYJ) (West Coast)
811
812
819
821
825
826
827

Flightplans for HM Coastguard uploaded to the hangar, they're pretty basic on the whole. They fly from their bases to a waypoint & come back again, nothing special

Thanks John for creating such great models (these plus all the others you did).

Also thanks to Dan for getting flight plans together.

We always appreciate your work - even if we forget to say so.

So thanks again

Dan,
The only bit of info that I was able to glean was that 443 had responsibility for equipping the Pacific Fleet frigates and 423 had responsibility for equipping the Atlantic fleet. Presumably that means one of two helos each.

IF, and I can't say for certain that the plan was followed, then 9 would be at Victoria and 19 at Shearwater. All have been delivered.

I guess the biggest question is the breakdown at Shearwater. The obvious division may be skewed though. The RAF tend to have their OCU or training sqns with 1.5-2.0 times the numbers of operational sqns, except when small numbers of total aircraft are involved. It could be that 443 has a slightly higher number than 423 due to its single location.

My guess is that it is unlikely that the RCAF would answer our questions though. What I think it does mean is that it would be nice for the rest of the RCAF fleet to be painted at some point.

Whatever you decide to do will be welcomed.
Steve
