If you want to.

Please remember that this is not a thread about Lossiemouth nor a thread about P-8s if you have a question about them please post in the correct thread or create one if one doesn't fit the bill.

Thanks. I thought that would be the case. I will try and get back down there in the day and have another look. I only live 20 miles away.

It took longer than usual to get the base models converted for FSX and P3D, a) because there are two of them and b) because some of the animation and parts of the FDE didn't port well. It took a whole weekend to sort it, but all is fine now. These are the aircraft in FSX:

The afterburners would normally display in the second shot, but the tool I used to grab it won't show them until about 30 seconds later in the flight because I started the aircraft on the runway, not at the hold line.

Adding the load-outs for each country is relatively straight forward since I made many of the stores for the Tornado's. I just need to do a bit more research on what's needed.

I'd like to add the load-outs before releasing the models to the painters, just in case non-standard paint needs to be applied to parts like fuel tanks. On that note, I think it would be useful to change the mapping. It's currently one side only shared by the other 3. That's fine for standard schemes, but it might present problems for complex artwork, so I'll create 4 individual faces I think.

By all means share the special schemes around. Just save me a couple of Italians. I think it will be me that will be doing those.

I'll press on in the meantime to get all the modelling done and the paint kits prepared........

The scenery is Ian's old FSX RAF Coningsby for now. It was released in 2010 I think and is in the Download Hangar. I know he's producing a new version for P3D.

We never say. To do so would set timetables. Timetables inevitably slip. This puts puts pressure on the developers.

As this ought to be fun for them too, we let them work at their pace until they are ready.

Not possible to say. We have the 4 base models ready and the FDE built, but we might need up to 40 model variations for the countries using the Typhoon x 2 for FS9 and FSX/P3D. There's nearly 600 paints to do (1200 for the 3 sims), then the sceneries need setting up and flight plans created to place the aircraft in them. In short, it's a very big project and it's mid summer and hot in here at my computer for a large part of day.

My Coningsby scenery for FSX is more than fine for now even in P3D. Although I may need to add a exclude for V5 for some buildings.

The new version is mainly to add:

- Custom ground poly
- Custom night lighting
- PBR texture option
- Dynamic lighting
- Improve some models and textures
- Add any new buildings and remove any demolished buildings
- New trees

I have already overhauled the south side where necessary as that has the oldest models and textures. I had a quick look at the north side and the textures and models really do not need much work at all. Mainly just re positioning to the ground poly and night lighting.

Below is the ground poly as is with all the existing scenery from the FSX version. This is in V5 with Orbx True Earth.
