The 10 Tankers are looking great John. One part I'm finding a bit odd is the center main gear going through the Retardant Tank, because the 10 Tankers don't use it since the rear Tank is blocking the gear doors (I'm sure it's still there, just in the retracted position). Is there any way to maybe modify the aircraft without changing the model or animations?

Aha, I should have noticed that. It's not a problem though. I'll remove the centre gear and weld the doors closed. Thanks for that.

Very nice John !!

Will you include the single Dutch Air Force KDC-10 that is still active untill the end of this year ?

T-264 was withdrawn in 2019 and sold to Omega Air Refueling
T-235 will be withdrawn by the end of this year and is sold to Omega Air Refueling as well

Would be great if you do them both for the retro simmers...

I wasn't going to make the two Dutch aircraft because of the impending changes. However, if there is interest in doing them for retro users, I can do that.

Do we have existing scenery and flight plans for the aircraft that we can utilise please?

Thanks for that.

The NL-2000 site is not the best for navigating. It's not clear where to go for the different versions of the scenery.

Are you able to post the complete traffic file - I also need the aircraft.txt and airports.txt files please? Who owns the file and do we need to seek permission to include it. If not, is there a download link to it please?

T-265 should be T-255

T-255 was actually not a tanker but a normal DC-10 that was used for cargo and troop transport only... It had no refueling boom or hose... It was bought from United Airlines in 2004 and after extensive and very expensive upgrades it was only used for a few years before being withdrawn in 2013/2014.

Thanks all.

I see from Wikki that T-255 was scrapped at Newquay in the UK in 2014. I think I will make the aircraft anyway. It will enable me to include a generic DC-10-30 that might be useful for civilian painters.

The manual has needed a lot of thought to set out the options for McGuire and Travis in terms of AI that can be installed in addition to the new KC-10A's in the 3 sim versions. Travis, on a Sunday in particular in my 3 sims, is packed with the new KC-10A's plus the legacy and converted C-17's and C-5 Galaxy's. I'll write the Omega and 10 Tanker sections next.

Steve has done a really great job with all the flight planning. While he is reviewing the manual, when the draft is finished, I'll make the Dutch examples to complete the project.

The two Netherlands KDC-10's and single DC-10 (non-refuelling) are now done for the 3 sim versions:

The aircraft are shown in Stewart Pearson's Eindhoven scenery. The scenery is for FS9, but I have provided a flatten and exclude file that enables it's use in FSX and P3Dv4 and v5. I have not tested the NL-2000 scenery and I could not find the traffic file at Avsim mentioned above. I have however provided a simple circuit traffic file for the time being.

I am not proposing to do the earlier white paint scheme, but if users want that, they will be able to use the paint kit that I will provide.

The manual is also written and the draft is with Steve for checking. While he is doing that, I will start assembling the zips.
