Wow. I'd join them.....if I was Canadian......and fit :(

Couldn't imagine the SAS doing something like this, although what's the betting that the U.S. Rangers post a video reply?

Ha! Yeah; times have changed I guess; here in the states it seems like some units (the SEALs) can't go anywhere without a camera in their face anymore. Most of the other "ninja" units still try to keep a low profile though; I did run across a Delta Force recruiting vid not too long ago though with guys dressed in street clothes riding on littlebirds shooting and blowing stuff up; the stuff those Delta guys do is just....WOW! I'm glad their on our side LOL

Ever since the Iranian embassy siege, SAS have been trying to keep a low profile. They got swamped with applications for a good few years after that event, to the point they had to beef up the Selection to get rid of the wanna-bes 8)

Fortunately, the SAS does not have direct recruitment; you must be serving before even being considered for selection and still have at least 3 years left to serve - cuts all the wanna-be's

Just found this and although it's not military aviation, I thought it worth sharing. 27-gun salute with the old 12 pound cannons from 1766-1769 (yes, these were cast before the US revolution!) on the bastions of Kronborg Castle, marking HM the Queen's 73rd birthday. Turn up the volume ;) :

Sadly they're not what they used to be, so there's a few duds along the way...
