Don't know if John has already mentioned it, but just so hopes arent raised for FS9, those Animated QRA doors are in FSX only, fs9 is doors permanently open for now.....

The Tornado installation works fine as long as its Fernado's model it don't matter what the main folder is called, its the Phantom F-4 that doesnt work, I have put a fix on the ACG forum.

As far as I am aware any size texture can be used without needing to alter the model. If the texture used in the above aircraft is 256x256, then you should be able to use 512x512 or 1024x1024 without any problems.

For scenery objects I generally use 2048x2048 .psd textures and resize it down ...
