Maybe we need to make sure at this point that you are very aware of what traffic file types you use. As Tim points out above, you should only use the FSX traffic files, which are also used by all the versions of P3D.
But, here's the caveat: if there is only 1 - one only - FS9 traffic file ...

After you install the SDK (I have mine in a folder named SDK under the main simulator folder), run the sim once.
Then go into the folder where you installed the SDK and run the "Configsdk.exe".

It is absolutely necessary to have the latest AIAE installed. It will show you exactly what is missing in an installed AI aircraft, you can call up the aircraft.cfg to make corrections, and you can renumber the fltsim.x entries, plus many other things.

It's a little different for FSX, Martin. And it depends on what version you have, if you have a 2-DVD set or a 3-DVD set (Acceleration).

As far as I know, FSX will install in Windows 11 the same way as in Windows 10, but this is something I have not tried personally. Questions on that you can post on flightsim.com, I know this has been discussed there, but can't remember the outcome ...
