Re: How to convert MAIW packages to FSX/P3D?
I am trying to connect my ADE with my P3Dv6, and I thought I had the right FSUIPC but apparently not. I have version v6.2.2 but it keeps telling me no.
Did you install the 64-bit patch for ADE? If so the FSUIPC ADE - P3d connection will no longer work... The 64-bit patch is not compatible ...

Re: How to convert MAIW packages to FSX/P3D?
What are you giving on on Robert? What is your goal?
I wanted to see if I could make the Osan AB workable for P3D. I can see the AFCAD for FSX is visible but, the buildings from P3D show up and I was wondering how I can make them "disappear".
Which version of P3d are you using?
There ...

Re: How to convert MAIW packages to FSX/P3D?
That is the problem that I am having is placing an exclusion zone.Firebird wrote: 15 Sep 2025, 08:40 If it is the same as every other sim then the simple way is to create an exclusion zone over the area that you want to clear.

Re: Anybody want more (simple) scenery?
Robert,
A P3D (ADEP4) scenery for Osan RKSO was included in the Matrix releases. The files are dated May 2018 and I can send you copies if you wish; parking allocations will need updating. Or are you looking for something more recent?
Geoff

Re: How to convert MAIW packages to FSX/P3D?
OK, I have just visited the site again and the blog is there. Follow this:
1. Search for WayBack Machine and select the one "search.archive.org"
2. Copy the above URL link and paste it into the search area where it says "Enter a URL or words related to a site's home page", and press enter
3. It ...

Re: How to convert MAIW packages to FSX/P3D?
Robert,
I can't find the blog anywhere in MAIW either, just a dead link. If you paste this url http://www.militaryaiworks.com/briefing-room/developer-blog/item/102-how-to-convert-maiw-packages-to-fsx-p3d into the WayBack Machine Internet Archive and select 18 Aug 2017 date, 23:18 time snapshot ...

Re: How to convert MAIW packages to FSX/P3D?
Since the website moved the naming of the pages has changed, so very old links will not work.
However, to find the page you just search using a couple of suitable words.
In this case I think that https://militaryaiworks.com/forums/topic/16733.html is what you are looking for.
Takes me back to ...

Re: How to convert MAIW packages to FSX/P3D?
Attention: this blog was written before the release of Prepar3d v4. Most of the guide is still applicable except that all models compiled for FS9 no longer show up properly in v4.
I have created a developer blog, explaining my method for converting MAIW packages to FSX or P3D and using the ...

Re: Installing MAIW packages in P3D
What I do in such cases (and also for FS9 sceneries) is that I open the scenery in ADE, recompile it to P3D, and then if there are buildings "lying around" like in your screenshot, create a .CVX file - an exclusion, so as to keep autogen away, and also flatten if necessary.
Also I take the ...

Re: mipped files
They work like LODs in the model. A series of smaller textures are generated from the main one, each one diminishing in pixel size that appear over the viewing distance range. So yes, particularly if you are viewing an AI flight line or when a whole airfield is in sight, mipped textures will give ...
