Definitely nothing to be ashamed of for Italy. They exceeded all expectations, especially with the match fixing scandal going on.
Is Spain the best national team ever??? It's certainly the best team I've ever seen play. Hard to compare them to some of the other teams from decades ago, especially Pele's Brazilian teams of the past.
Their brand of football is quickly being copied all around the world. In two years time, I think we will have a definitive answer. If Spain can go down to Brazil and win the 2014 World Cup on Brazilian soil, then they will indeed be the best team ever to play on the national level. Only time will tell.
