Thank you, Mark, Mike and Viper :smt001

It is funny how some aircraft are beautiful no matter what angle you are looking at them and for some others you have to fight for the shot. John produces natural beauties

Nice, just to think, the close ups of the Lightnings and F-111s are payware quality only a few years ago!

It is so true. AI aircraft were for so long regarded as the red-headed cousin, but not any more.

That is FSX with REX Essential PLUS HD. Really a great combination.

Thanks Martin. They really look great. Is there much of an FPS hit using REX Essential PLUS HD?

No, Mike. I am sure there is one, like with all such add-ons. But is seems to be minimal so that I did not even bother to measure it. All screen shots were made with FPS set to unlimited in FSX and externally limited to 30 with FPS_Limiter. My hardware is adequate, not a state-of-the-art monster (i7-920, 6 Gig, Radeon HD 7800).

PS: I never fail to get a bit nervous as soon as I see your signature picture :smt003

      Hey Martin,

Where do you get FPS_limiter from?

      Martin,

I use FPS_Limiter set up just like you and it really works well for me also.

I'm currently immersed on the "Darkside" and really enjoying it. My HTAI VT ANG F-16's really sound great with their sound aliased to that of the default FSX Accelertion F-18 and the default FSX ATC Control Tower is a great way to observe, listen to and track AI flights in and outbound from an airbase. :D

Unfortunately FSX handles AI enough differently to complicate matters a bit, but I am slowly learning how to deal with some of the issues. :(

Yes, that screenshot makes me a tad nervous too when I think of all the work that I have put into that project.

BTW...That is an AI USN destroyer on patrol in the background and my Teddy Roosevelt actually launches NBAI Tomcats off two different catapults. 8)
