The US Department of Defense is lowering the performance bar for the Lockheed Martin F-35 Joint Strike Fighter according to a new report by the Pentagon's director of operational test and evaluation (DOT&E).

Thank God us Canadians opened the can on the 'rper gov't trying to buy this POS ! Latest from an RCAF buddy of mine is the Eurofighter is THE ONE that'll have CAF ( er RCAF) markings on it

As much as I'd love to see that happen, surely the natural progression would be to the Super Hornet, as the Australians have done. With most of the infrastructure, ground equipment etc. already in place I can see this one being the better option financially.
