KC-135's wearing a new suit, or is this a one-off?

Post by cobbcfi »

I came across this pic on airliners.net and wondered if the USAF is going to start painting them all white on the top to keep them cooler, especially in the dessert. These pup's are loaded with fuel, and I never was a fan of the military grey all-over heating up a flying gas bomb.

How will this effect released packages of the KC-135's, maybe a new paint release to replace existing?

No it's a one off. That one is a test aircraft based at Edwards AFB.
