FAIB B737-700 (USAF C-40) question

Post by Military Av8r »

Does anyone know if the C-40B/C has been done on an FAIB model yet? (I'm asking about everything, the C-40Bs at Andrews, Ramstein, and MacDill, as well as the C-40Cs at Andrews and Scott)

I don't know of any schemes yet, but I am hoping that somebody does convert them to the FAIB model.

This is what I've compiled so far about their color schemes.

Blue & White C-40B:
01-0015 (Hickam)
01-0040 (Andrews)
01-0041 (Andrews)

http://www.airliners.net/photo/USA---Ai ... 45b1e3722b

White C-40B:
02-0042 (Ramstein)
http://www.airliners.net/photo/USA---Ai ... 20c061511c
http://www.airliners.net/photo/USA---Ai ... 20c061511c

Blue & White C-40C:
05-0730, 05-0932, 05-4613, 09-0540 (all at Scott)
http://www.airliners.net/photo/USA---Ai ... 53c008ede4
http://www.airliners.net/photo/USA---Ai ... 53c008ede4

White (Air National Guard Markings) C-40C:
02-0201, 02-0202, 02-0203 (all at Andrews)
http://www.airliners.net/photo/USA---Ai ... 91954013de
http://www.airliners.net/photo/USA---Ai ... 407cf27b49

I've only included one set of each because the only differences within each group are the tail numbers.
If someone could help out with all or just some of these, or just knows there I can find these as FAIB models that would be AWESOME! I'd love to have these to replace my AIA models. I've got flight plans if anyone would like to trade.

There is a paint kit for the -700, but I have yet to see any mil paints. I am slowly converting over to the FAIB model since they are FSX native, got alot of work to go finishing SW Airlines, but most of the major 737 operators are painted on the civie side.

I wasn't really asking for a genuine AI C-40. I'm sorry for the confusion. What I'm looking for is just the C-40 paint schemem applied to an FAIB 737-700. I'm not worried about the domes etc. I just need to replace my AIA models with FAIB ones. If I could just get even one blue & white tail, and one all white ANG scheme, that would suffice. I can work with that.

As for the domes, the paintkit for the FAIB 737s allow to activate them using the alpha channel

True but some of the domes that are featured on these aircraft weren't modelled by Erez. There was a discussion about a military version of the models but nothing was ever concluded from the discussion we had on the internal forums.

Maybe, he said optimistically, that he is waiting until he does a P-8 and Wedgetail to do those.

Please note for anybody who thinks that I know something - I don't. It is a hope not a rumour.

Saw this post over on AIG, also. Got the pics. Started some paints.
Easy ones first. A few more bits to sort out then I'll upload the white ones first.

Also just realized these are FSX . . . gonna have to do FS9 version, too.

You may find this topic helpful when converting to FS9 format ;)

Andrews AFB V3.0 had the optional files to update 02-0201, 02-0202, and 02-0203 to the FAIB model.
