There is also a limit to how high the model can actually go in game. Better to figure those things out now than before you animate parts that may or may not work.
Since Steve (Firebird) seems to already have a jump on this, I think I will defer to him relative to the creation of an MBAI SR-71 Blackbird FDE.Firebird wrote:As it happens I was working on an SR-71 fde, for the Alphasim AI one, before my 'puter went away. I got it to go M3.2+ at FL750.
I hope to have it back within the next few weeks so if you can wait for then you are welcome to use it but if you want to go with Mike from scratch that is fine, just let me know.
Looks like the refueling door(s) were stuck open.aljude wrote:SR-71 landing at RAF Mildenhall in the late 80's...The aircrat went out following three KC-135Q's so was due for a long flight, but soon after take off it re-appeared overhead dumping fuel, we we're about to leave but put the scanner back on the hear the pilot reporting problems and dumping fuel for an emergency landing..
We sat waiting for around 15 minutes and i noticed the sun setting, the SR then flew out to the West for an approach to Rwy 11, I quickly dug my Olympus OM-20 and stuck a 400mm lens on and turned around just in time to get the shot.... which was nice!
