I need some scenery help

Post by Joseph29 »

I have FISD's Kuopio airport scenery (FS9) and it's not working right. I hope someone can help. When I got the scenery installed with the included fix parts of the taxiways and apron disappear when I taxi near them. The taxiway leading to where the F-18's park and the apron and taxiway in front of the main terminal is where my problems are happening.

The fix says to delete efku_A16N.bgl and efku_A16N2.bgl (and replace them with 2 other files), but with those files installed I don't have the taxiways and aprons disappearing but I have mesh problems around the airport. But with the fix installed I do not have any more mesh problems but I do have the taxiways and aprons disappearing.

Any ideas on how (or if) I can fix this? I know this isn't really military, but I asked help for this in 2 other forums and no one seems to know. So I am hoping someone can help me here.

PS: Here is the link to the scenery http://fisd.fsnordic.net/projects/efku

Hi Joseph,
I think from memory this is caused when there is a difference in addon scenery airport altitude with mesh altitude where the textures are above the underlying ground level. I can't remember the name of a program you used to check this and adjust so both match. Hopefully someone else can point you in the right direction.
Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year.

I am using FinnMesh made by FISD. I tried the scenery with and without the FinnMesh and I am still having the problems. And I am also using the AFCAD that came with the MAIW Finland F-18 hornets package.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you to Steve!

Joseph

I have fs genesis mesh installed.

Also FSID Kuopio and MAIW_AFX_EFKU_FSID.bgl installed.
The AFX file is in the Kuopio scenery folder.

The files I removed are:
efku_A16N.bgl
efku_A16N2.bgl
Kuopio_remesh2.bgl
xKuopio_remesh.bgl

Hope this helps

Ok where the lake is there is tall cliffs now, but at least the water is not running up the side of the cliff anymore. This is the best this scenery will get for now so I will just leave it as is.

I could, but the FISD scenery is more detailed than yours. (I think you did a real nice job on them)
